Check Out Shayla Patrick’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shayla Patrick.

Hi Shayla, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been cutting up my clothes since I was a child. I used to stay getting in trouble by my mother for bleaching or tearing up my clothes. But it’s definitely something I’ve been doing for a long time. LOL. When I was in high school, the seniors had a thing where they would wear camouflage on Fridays. My infatuation with camouflage started when I was a kid as well. I wore camo all the time even on Fridays despite it being a senior thing. They thought I was being petty but in actuality I just loved wearing camo. The No Limit Reunion tour came to Atlanta about 3 or 4 years ago. So when I had bought the tickets, I got the idea of getting me a camouflage jacket and just going all out on it, I did a jacket for my mother-in-law at the same time. And after that is how I got started with the Camo jackets.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think any road won’t be smooth with entrepreneurship. There’s always gonna be highs and lows, but it’s all about how you pivot and make adjustments to make other moves.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Radiologic Technologist. They often refer to us as “The Eyes of Medicine.” My specialty is Mammography. And to further define what I do-is perform the exams that detect breast cancer.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Not everybody is going to understand your vision. Your vision is your vision and don’t let anyone make you think otherwise.
