Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Childress.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m from Memphis, Tennessee, and that’s really where my creativity was born. I grew up in church singing and performing, and that naturally led me to Stax Music Academy. Stax shaped me in every way. They taught me discipline, intention, artistry, and how to create something that actually moves people.
Being on stages my whole life did something unexpected. It made me fall in love with what happens behind the scenes. I became obsessed with the process, the lighting, the storytelling, the visuals, and the way a concept becomes real. That is how photography and graphic design found me. I realized I didn’t just want to be in front of the art. I wanted to build it.
In 2019, I launched my business, C3Graphics. What started as me experimenting with a camera and teaching myself design grew into a full creative studio. Now I provide photography, videography, graphic design, social media content, and video editing. I love taking someone’s vision and elevating it in a way they didn’t even know was possible.
Right now, I attend Clark Atlanta University as a Mass Media Arts student with a Spanish minor. CAU pushed me to refine my voice and treat my creativity like a real career. Between being in classrooms, on sets, behind the camera, and in student leadership, I’ve been able to shape myself into the creative director, storyteller, and media professional I am becoming.
My journey is really about following creativity wherever it pulls me. From the church stage to Stax. From Memphis to Atlanta. And from simply loving art to building a brand around it. I’m still growing, still learning, and still expanding, but everything I do goes back to that little girl in Memphis who fell in love with creating something bigger than herself.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road definitely hasn’t been completely smooth, but I think that’s true for anyone who is building something meaningful. God has covered me with a lot of favor and grace along the way, and every challenge has stretched me in the best way.
One thing I’ve had to grow through is trusting my own voice and allowing myself to take up space. Coming from a creative background, you’re constantly evolving, so learning to stand confidently in my gifts has been a journey. I wouldn’t even call it a setback. It’s more of a personal commitment to keep showing up for myself and staying consistent, even when things get busy or intimidating.
That process has made me stronger as a creative and as a businesswoman. It taught me to own my place in every room I walk into and to move with intention instead of doubt. So the challenges have really shaped me more than they’ve slowed me down.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a creative director, photographer, and graphic designer, and I run my own company called C3Graphics. I specialize in visual storytelling, which includes photography, videography, graphic design, branding, and content creation. My goal is always to help people bring their ideas to life in a way that feels intentional, elevated, and true to who they are.
I think people know me for my eye. I pay close attention to detail and I love creating visuals that feel clean, bold, and emotional at the same time. Whether I’m shooting an event, designing a flyer, or building a full concept, I want my work to have depth and meaning behind it.
One thing I’m most proud of is my growth. I started this journey young, teaching myself everything from editing to design, and turning that passion into a real business. I’m grateful for every opportunity I’ve had, and I always keep God first because none of this would be possible without His favor and guidance. That foundation keeps me grounded, focused, and aligned with my purpose.
What sets me apart is my blend of experiences. I grew up performing, so I understand what it feels like to be in front of the camera. That helps me guide people with confidence and comfort when they’re the ones being captured. At the same time, I’ve spent years behind the scenes learning production, storytelling, and how to make a vision cohesive from start to finish. And beyond the technical skills, I genuinely care about the people I work with. I want them to feel seen, understood, and supported.
My work is rooted in intention, authenticity, creativity, and faith. Everything I create reflects not just my skill, but my passion for bringing visions to life in a way that feels personal and meaningful.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to keep going and keep learning. Every stage of my journey has shown me that growth doesn’t happen all at once. It happens through consistency, curiosity, and being willing to evolve. Even when things get hard or uncertain, staying committed to the process always pays off. The more I push myself to learn, the more doors open. So for me, the lesson has been to trust the journey, stay teachable, and keep moving forward no matter what.
