Absolutely. My journey really began with a deep love for music at a young age.
I started DJing over a decade ago, driven by curiosity and a passion for blending sounds in a way that made people feel something. What began as a love for music and experimenting with turntables quickly grew into a full-time passion as I honed my skills—mixing, cutting, scratching, and pushing myself to master a wide range of genres.
As I developed my style, opportunities started to grow. From local gigs to regional acclaim, my unique approach behind the decks opened doors to headline some of the hottest venues across the country. That momentum eventually led to performing at major events worldwide and curating experiences for diverse audiences, from intimate celebrity gatherings to large-scale events where energy and precision matter most.
Over the years, I evolved from just being a DJ to becoming a producer, curator, and influencer—someone who not only plays music but shapes the atmosphere and sets the tone for unforgettable moments. My brand, Concrete Kash, continues to grow because I never stop learning, creating, and pushing the culture forward.
Today, I’m grateful to be recognized as a trailblazer in the industry, and I’m still just as passionate and hungry as I was when I first touched the turntables.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey has definitely not been a smooth road, but every challenge has played a role in shaping who I am as an DJ today. Starting out as a DJ in the 90s meant coming up in an era where everything was hands-on and skill-driven. There was no digital safety net—no sync buttons, no streaming libraries. You had to invest in crates of vinyl, spend countless hours digging for records, and master the fundamentals of mixing, cutting, and scratching by feel and instinct. That alone came with financial and logistical challenges, especially for someone young and hungry but without many resources.
As technology evolved, another set of challenges emerged. The industry shifted rapidly from vinyl to CDs, then to digital controllers, DJ software, and now full-blown hybrid setups. Staying relevant meant constantly adapting, learning new equipment, and upgrading gear to keep up with expectations. There were times when it felt like the culture was changing faster than I could catch it.
On top of that, building a name in different eras required different types of hustle. In the 90s and early 2000s, it was all about word-of-mouth, passing out mixtapes, showing up at every open mic or club night, and earning your respect in person. Today, branding, social media, and digital presence are just as important as skill. Balancing the artistic side with the business side has been a long learning process in itself.
There were moments of doubt, financial setbacks, and times where I had to rebuild, reinvent, or start from scratch. But every challenge sharpened my craft and reinforced my passion. The struggles made the wins even more meaningful, and they’re a big part of why I’m still here—still creating, still evolving, and still pushing the culture forward.

While still actively DJing, I founded Elite Sound & Events as a way to transform my passion for music, production, and live experiences into a full-service brand. What started as a personal mission to elevate the quality of sound at events has grown into a professional event production company specializing in premium DJ services, sound reinforcement, event lighting, and high-quality rental equipment.
