Today we’d like to introduce you to Info Black.
Hi Info, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I recorded my first song when I was four years old. My stepdad took me to a studio, handed me the mic, and just let me have fun. A few years later, around 10 or 12, I met a producer named Pharaoh who gave me real studio access, and that’s when I made my first official record.
As I got older, I taught myself how to engineer, mix, master, produce, and make my own beats. I play keys, I edit, I design — I’ve grown into a full creative. I’m a multi-genre artist, making hip-hop, R&B, and trap. My newest album, PURP, is a trap project, and people know me for my melodies, my vocals, and my ability to build hit records from scratch.
Over the years I’ve been part of multiple groups and collaborated with tons of different artists from well-known names to rising local talent, which helped shape my sound and sharpen my versatility.
I’ve been doing this professionally for about 12 years, and I still feel like I’m just getting started. Born in Riverdale and raised in Marietta, I’ve been locked in ever since — making music, traveling, and pushing my sound to more levels, which coincidentally is the name of my LLC, More Levels Enterprise.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Growing up was tough for me, not because I was living on the street or anything like that, but because my life stayed in motion. I got into a lot of fights in school, I moved around a lot, and I switched schools so many times that it was hard to ever feel settled. It was like every time I got comfortable, life shifted again.
As I got older things slowly got better, but music was the one thing that kept me grounded through everything. Music became my therapy. While a lot of my friends wanted to go out and hit the clubs, I would stay home and work on songs. I wanted to be the best, and now I truly feel like I am the best.
For a long time I stayed humble while people tried to tell me I was the greatest and boost my confidence. Now I feel like I have the experience and the track record to say I have actually earned that spot.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a creative who does everything from start to finish. I write, record, mix, master, produce, edit, and build entire ideas from the ground up. I make hip hop, R and B, and trap, and I am known for my melodies, my storytelling, and the way I blend different sounds together. I can switch from singing to rapping to producing a full track in the same session, and that is something a lot of people cannot do at a high level.
What I am most proud of is the fact that I can create my own world from scratch. I make my own beats, I shape my own sound, and I bring my own visions to life without needing a big team behind me. I love being a true artist, not just a voice on a beat. I build everything myself.
What sets me apart is my versatility and my consistency. I can make a trap anthem, an R&B vibe, or a melodic record that hits the charts, and I can also engineer it, mix it, and make it sound industry ready. A lot of people only know one lane. I have mastered many.
I take my creativity seriously, and I treat every song like it could be the one that changes everything. That hunger and that level of skill is what makes my work stand out.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I owe a lot of my journey to the people who poured into me along the way. First, LG, my stepdad, introduced me to the studio life when I was a kid. That moment changed everything for me. My mom has always believed in me, and all of my brothers and sisters are my biggest supporters. They push me, they encourage me, and they never let me forget who I am. My father, who passed away on February 2, 2023, is still one of my greatest motivators. I carry his spirit with me in everything I do.
Pharoah, who now goes by Putbackshawty, gave me the chance to make my first official record in his studio, and that opened the door to the path I am on today. My best friend and brother Natural has always stood by me. Solo gave me opportunities to sharpen my pen skills and grow as a writer. My other best friend LVLD has been a friend, a brother, and a mentor. Orrin Ennis gave me my first real chance to run a studio business, which taught me so much about the industry and about myself.
And last but not least, my beautiful girlfriend deserves a lot of credit. She keeps me grounded during hard times, helps me stay focused, and makes sure I am always at one hundred percent when I am working on music. She is a major supporter in my life right now.
There are many others who played a part in my journey, even if I cannot name every single one in this moment. I am truly appreciative of everyone who helped me get here.
