Today we’d like to introduce you to Gerald Fadayomi.
Hi Gerald, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born and raised in Atlanta GA. My parents never married – Mom has schizophrenia and dad left in the 3rd grade. I bounced around in foster care until I moved to Alpharetta when my mom got on her feet however she then went to jail when I was 16 y/o. I grew up in church then walked away and became a club promoter for 3 years. I had 1 friend murdered and 1 commit suicide. Shortly after I met Jesus and started working for a large church in the Atlanta area where I met my wife. We felt called to plant a church so Home Church Roswell launched in 2022 with 72 people on the launch team. The church has since grown to over 700 attending. My wife and I now have 4 beautiful girls (5 y/o, 5y/o, 4 y/o, 2 y/o). Our church just opened a brand new event center in the heart of Downtown Roswell called Social House as a place for celebration and service to the community through hosting weddings, parties, concerts, etc. What differentiates Home Church is FOR day – every 3rd Sunday we pause from a traditional worship service to worship through serving our community with a community market, outreach service projects and wellness center opportunities.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all—it’s been anything but smooth. I grew up facing instability from an early age. Those experiences shaped me deeply. I experienced losses that forced me to confront some painful realities about the path I was on. Meeting Jesus changed everything. But even after stepping into ministry, nothing about the journey has been effortless. Planting a church required sacrifice, uncertainty, and learning to trust God in the middle of the unknown. When we launched Home Church Roswell in 2022, we had 72 people and a big vision—no guarantees, just faith with many bumps along the way. Watching it grow to over 700 has been incredible, but every season has come with challenges: balancing ministry and family, navigating community needs, and stewarding growth in a healthy way. Opening Social House and building our FOR Day initiative stretched us even further. But through every setback and struggle, God has been faithful. The obstacles have shaped our mission and our passion for creating a church that truly serves the community and puts us in the background while making sure Jesus is front and center.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am the Senior Pastor of Home Church Roswell. This looks different every day but overall aligning with how the Lord is calling me to shepherd my team and our congregation. I have a deep heart for student ministry which I spent years serving in, however God is calling me to steward the vision of our Sunday community—guiding people from all walks of life toward hope, healing, and a deeper relationship with Christ. What sets me apart is my passion for calling out the gold in people. God has given me the ability to see potential in others—even before they see it themselves—and to help them grow into their God-given calling.
