Tany B shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Tany, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Absolutely, I would hire me, without hesitation. I care deeply about the work, the people, and the outcome. I don’t show up halfway, and I don’t detach from the mission once something is handed off. I treat every project as if my name, reputation, and integrity are on the line, because they are.
At the same time, I’ll be honest: delegating has been one of my biggest challenges. When you’ve built something from the ground up and poured so much of yourself into it, letting go isn’t easy. I’ve had to learn that trusting others doesn’t mean losing control, it means creating space to grow. That lesson didn’t come overnight, but it came through experience, humility, and growth.
I would hire me because I bring heart, accountability, and intention into everything I do. I don’t just execute. I invest. And while I’m still learning how to delegate more freely, that same passion is what ensures the work is always done with care, excellence, and purpose.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Tany, an entrepreneur, content creator, and brand strategist. I’m the founder of a media company built on the belief that storytelling, when done with intention, has the power to connect, inspire, and create real impact. I specialize in helping brands, businesses, and creatives show up authentically online through strategic content, social media growth, and thoughtful brand development.
What makes my work special is the balance between creativity and structure. My background in corporate marketing and leadership allows me to approach content with strategy and purpose, while my passion for storytelling keeps everything human, relatable, and real. I don’t believe in one size-fits all branding, every project I take on is personal, intentional, and aligned with the client’s voice and goals.
My journey hasn’t been linear, and that’s something I embrace. Each chapter, corporate, creative, and entrepreneurial, has shaped how I work and how I lead. Right now, I’m focused on expanding my brand, collaborating with like-minded creatives and businesses, and continuing to build meaningful platforms that help others grow with confidence. At the heart of everything I do is connection, purpose, and the belief that authenticity is the real differentiator.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What breaks the bonds between people is often a lack of communication, unmet expectations, and unhealed wounds. Silence can create distance just as much as conflict can. When people stop feeling seen, heard, or valued, resentment quietly replaces connection.
Ego, pride, and fear, fear of vulnerability, fear of accountability, fear of being misunderstood, can slowly erode even the strongest relationships.
What restores bonds is honesty, humility, and empathy. Real repair happens when people are willing to listen without defensiveness, take responsibility for their part, and show up with intention. Consistent effort matters more than grand gestures. Sometimes restoration looks like a conversation; other times it looks like boundaries, forgiveness, or simply choosing understanding over being right.
At its core, connection is restored when people feel safe again, safe to be themselves, safe to speak, and safe to trust. That’s where healing begins.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that has held me back the most has been the fear of outgrowing familiar versions of myself and the people around me. There were moments when staying comfortable felt safer than stepping fully into who I was becoming. Fear can be quiet, it doesn’t always look like panic. Sometimes it looks like hesitation, overthinking, or waiting until everything feels “perfect.”
I’ve also had to confront the fear of letting go of control, of certainty, and of the approval that can come from staying in spaces where you’re already understood. Growth requires trust, and for a long time, trusting myself enough to move forward without guarantees was difficult.
What shifted everything was realizing that fear doesn’t disappear, it just loses power when you choose courage anyway. Now, I let fear inform me, not stop me. And every time I move forward despite it, I prove to myself that I’m capable of more than I once believed.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is the real me. I’ve always been my true self. I don’t believe in creating different versions or images depending on the room I’m in. What you see is what you get, my personality, my values, my voice, and my truth.
I don’t lie about who I am or what I stand for, and I don’t feel the need to perform or curate a persona that isn’t genuine. Consistency matters to me. Whether it’s in my personal life, my work, or my brand, I show up the same way, honest, intentional, and real.
That authenticity is something I protect, because it’s the foundation of my relationships, my work, and my peace.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I understand deeply that growth is often quiet, uncomfortable, and misunderstood. Most people only see the visible results, not the internal work, the unlearning, the restraint, the discipline, and the emotional processing that happens behind the scenes.
I also understand that people do the best they can with the tools they have at the time. That perspective has taught me empathy, patience, and when necessary, detachment without bitterness. Not every situation requires a reaction, sometimes it requires understanding and boundaries.
Above all, I’ve learned that alignment matters more than approval. When you’re rooted in who you are, you stop chasing validation and start making decisions that actually bring peace. That kind of clarity changes everything.
