Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Montague.
Daniel, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am originally from a small town, Monroe, Michigan. I moved to NYC when I was 15 and 1/2 /16. I was a FORD model in my younger years than became an agent during that time I was also a reference singer and ghost writer for some major labels. Also. A lot of my friends did PR for a lot of celebs so I am very well rounded in the entertainment game.
Has it been a smooth road?
Tons of struggles. Moving from a small town to one of the biggest cities in the world is a huge struggle. I was underage but I knew also I wanted a lot more out of life than my small town could give me. Meeting new people and finding new opportunities when you’re in a city like NYC can be very hard.
Do you feel luck has played a role in your life?
Luck I think plays a lot in any career. Whether who you meet and into what circumstances happen. Luck has definitely been beneficial.
Do you feel like there are certain traits that increase the likelihood of success?
My dad used to say to me “Kid you’re not attractive but you have the personality of a Shark!” Never really knew what that meant until I got older. I am an opportunist in the best sense; especially in this industry, they are hard to come by. Another one is I’m very direct/realistic. I feel as if sometimes we as artists think that everything is golden but sometimes it’s absolutely not. I listen with my ears, not my heart I’m not the best at sugarcoating but if you want an honest opinion I am your guy. lol
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The best part of Atlanta is it’s a great connection city to wherever you need to go in whatever career field. The least part is traffic makes no sense here. Seriously, Let’s get it together people. Lol
