Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Lambert.
Hi Brittany, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started writing in my teens, but didn’t pursue my dream to be an author until my early 20s. I started publishing in 2016 but took a hiatus as I moved states, and embarked on another journey to motherhood. While I wasn’t publishing, I was writing and came back to the book world with a bang in 2021 and since then have published over a dozen titles.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Defiantly not. There is a lot to learn as an indie author from navigating publishing to trying to master the best way to market your book, and more. Finding my footing was a little rough, but worth it.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I write a variety of romance under two pen names Birdy Rivers and Brit Leigh.
All of my paranormal, sci fi, fantasy, and retellings go under Birdy rivers and all of my dark and contemporary go under Brit Leigh
I’ve won some awards for my books so I’m definitely proud of that.
My coven series under Birdy rivers is popular and Brit Leigh my contemporary firefighter romance is popular
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Write what you want. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, advice, or guidance. The hardest part is to just do it, but do it fearlessly knowing it’s worth it. Surrounds yourself with people who support you and your dreams
