Today we’d like to introduce you to Hello My Name Is The Band.
Hello My Name Is, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
The story of Hello My Name Is started simply—with three musicians and a whole lot of potential.
Originally, the band was made up of Ron, Ralph, and Daniel, playing together under the name Three Double D. The chemistry was there, the energy was strong, but one crucial piece was missing: a singer. They played, they jammed, but they knew something wasn’t complete yet.
That missing piece appeared unexpectedly on social media.
Daniel happened to come across a video of Allison singing The Star-Spangled Banner at a Veterans Day parade. Her voice stopped him in his tracks. He reached out and asked her a simple question: “Who do you sing with?”
Her answer was surprising.
“No one. I gave up singing. I’m not singing anymore.”
But Daniel wasn’t ready to accept that.
After plenty of persistence, encouragement, and belief in what could be, he finally convinced her to come jam with the band. That one decision changed everything. The chemistry was instant. The sound came alive. What started as a jam quickly turned into nonstop shows, packed dance floors, and a high-energy, female-fronted band that connected with crowds everywhere they played.
About a year into the journey, the band faced another turning point when their drummer decided to pursue a different path. Rather than slow down, they held auditions—determined to find the right fit. That search led them to Ryan, whose style, energy, and vibe locked in perfectly with the group.
With the lineup complete, Hello My Name Is was fully born—bringing big personalities, powerful vocals, and a show built to make people dance, sing along, and remember the night long after the last song ends.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not exactly—and honestly, we wouldn’t want it any other way.
Being a newer band in a very saturated market like Atlanta, we’ve had to truly pay our dues. Getting gigs wasn’t handed to us—we worked our way up show by show, proving ourselves, building relationships, and earning trust one venue at a time. Those early days meant playing wherever we could, learning fast, and constantly raising the bar for our live show.
Another major challenge came when we lost our original drummer. Lineup changes are never easy, especially when momentum is building. But that challenge turned into growth. Auditioning new drummers pushed us to define exactly who we are as a band, and when we brought in Ryan, the chemistry and energy leveled us up in a big way.
Every obstacle shaped Hello My Name Is into a tighter, stronger, and more driven band. The road hasn’t been smooth—but it’s made us better, tougher, and more grateful for where we are today.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are Hello My Name Is, and at our core, we specialize in creating an unforgettable live party experience.
Musically, we cover ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and modern rock, focusing on songs people instantly recognize—music you can dance to, sing along with, and feel from the first note to the last. Our sets are carefully built to keep the energy high and the crowd engaged all night long, whether it’s a packed bar, a festival stage, or a special event.
What truly sets us apart is that we’re not just a cover band—we’re a true party band. We have fun on stage, we interact with the crowd, and we deliver a full-on show every time we play. Our energy is genuine, our chemistry is real, and we pour our hearts into every performance. When we’re on stage, people don’t just watch—they become part of the experience.
What we’re most proud of is the community we’ve built around our music and our commitment to giving back. We actively participate in nonprofit and charity events because we believe music should do more than entertain—it should bring people together and make a positive impact.
At the end of the night, our goal is simple: make sure everyone leaves smiling, singing, and already planning to come see us again.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
If you’re just starting out, be patient and stay consistent. Nothing happens overnight, especially in a crowded music scene. You have to be willing to play the long game, show up prepared, and prove yourself one gig at a time. Every show—big or small—is an opportunity to build relationships and sharpen your craft.
One thing we wish we knew earlier is how important it is to treat your band like a business. Be professional, communicate clearly, show up on time, and make it easy for venues and bookers to work with you. Talent gets you noticed, but professionalism gets you rebooked.
Another big lesson: protect the chemistry. The right people matter just as much as the right sound. Lineup changes can be tough, but sometimes they’re necessary for growth. When you find people who share the same work ethic and vision, everything clicks.
Most importantly, have fun and stay authentic. Audiences can feel when it’s real. If you love what you’re doing on stage, they will too. Keep your hearts in it, support each other, and don’t forget why you started in the first place.
That mindset is a big part of what’s helped Hello My Name Is grow from day one.
