Dr. Kim McNair shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Kim, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
integrity

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Dr. Kim McNair—an entrepreneur, producer, and advocate with over 30 years of experience empowering women and girls. I’m the CEO of Kim McNair Productions, LLC, where I create impactful events and marketing strategies, and I’m also the founder of the Business Women Empowerment Project, Inc. (BWEP), a nonprofit organization that develops leadership programs for high school girls and supports women entrepreneurs.

What sets my brand apart is the ability to bring people together around purpose—whether it’s a high-level summit, community event, or intimate masterclass. I build platforms that inspire transformation and provide the tools to turn ideas into action. I believe in the power of visibility, voice, and value.

Right now, I’m excited about launching my new book “Knowledge. Money. Power.” and expanding the BWEP Leadership Academy into Douglasville in 2026. My work is about more than just producing events—it’s about producing impact.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
One of my earliest memories of feeling powerful was when I coordinated my very first fashion show at just 14 years old. I had started modeling young, but that moment was different—because I wasn’t just walking the runway, I was running the show. I gathered the models, helped select outfits, coached girls on their walk, and pulled it all together. That’s when I realized I had a gift—not just for being seen, but for seeing potential in others and making things happen behind the scenes. I felt like I was walking in purpose before I even knew that’s what it was. It was the first time I truly saw my leadership, creativity, and voice come alive—and I’ve been leading ever since.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was a time I almost gave up. I had poured everything into building my business—my energy, my finances, my name. And like many entrepreneurs, I hit that moment where the weight felt unbearable. The doors weren’t opening fast enough, the support felt scarce, and I questioned if I was really making a difference. But then I remembered why I started: the young girls watching me, the women depending on me, and the legacy I promised to build. I reminded myself that my purpose was bigger than my pressure and that quitting wasn’t an option. So I pivoted. I shifted my mindset, leaned into my faith, and let my pain push me to a higher level of impact. And now, every time I stand on a stage, help a woman grow her business, or see a girl light up with confidence I’m reminded that staying the course was worth it.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
A cultural value I protect at all costs is integrity. In everything I do—whether I’m producing an event, mentoring young women, or speaking on a national stage, I lead with honesty, excellence, and intention. I don’t cut corners, and I don’t compromise my values for popularity or profit. I believe how you show up is your brand. So, I protect my name, my word, and my legacy with care. Integrity means doing what’s right even when no one is watching and that’s the standard I uphold in my business, my leadership, and my life.

It’s also why I pour into women and girls the way I do because I want them to know they can lead boldly without sacrificing who they are.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I want people to say that I lived with purpose, led with integrity, and loved with intention.
That I poured everything I had into empowering women and girls to rise up, show up, and never give up. I hope they say I made it possible for others to believe in what they couldn’t yet see in themselves—and that I turned every room I walked into into a space for elevation, collaboration, and transformation.

I want the story to be: She didn’t just talk about it, she was about it.
That I built platforms where others could stand tall, speak truth, and shine. That my life, my work, and my walk made it easier for the next woman to win. And that I left behind more than a brand, I left a blueprint.

A blueprint of Knowledge. Money. Power.
