Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Nichole Stultz.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Amber Nichole Stultz, known as @AmberNicholeMedia on Instagram (IG) is a Spring 2017 initiate of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. (Zeta or ZPhiB), a member of Alpha Phi Omega Co-ed Service Fraternity (APO or APhiQ), a Higher Education professional, and a social media influencer. In 2018, Amber Nichole became a social media influencer inspired by Amber Nichole’s membership in Zeta where she developed advertising/promotion services. In recent years, Amber Nichole is expanding the platform with a creation of a podcast as a way to promote culture, educate the community, and highlight various members of Zeta and our constitutionally bound brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. (Sigma) from all industries. Amber Nichole has a Pentecostal upbringing and chose to become a Zeta as the sorority has a faith-based foundation with an impact at a global level. Becoming a Zeta meant that Amber Nichole has the opportunity to personally grow in alignment with Amber Nichole’s core value of service to others. Amber Nichole is honored to be able to use her talents to showcase Black Excellence along with the history that members and chapters of both organizations are making today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A challenge in this space would be having so many other platforms in relation to Greek Life. I became a brand people know, like, and trust by by being consistent (which some seasons I was able to give more effort than others), leaning into trends and current platform changes (e.g. the changing algorithm(s)), and staying true to showcasing content that resonates with the audience of Zetas, Sigmas, supports.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Phi Beta Nation is a platform for fraternity and sorority life. I am most proud of being able to inspire others to join Blue and White and provide a space of positivity in a time where Greek Life has some interesting stigmas around certain former members denouncing, etc. I get to show the beautiful of our brother and sisterhood. I get the opportunity to show we are educators, innovators, and everyday people who are devoted to serving our communities.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
One risk I took was going live and showing my face on the social media platform for business. The original goal of the platforms was to be a viral family scrapbook and to share events from both organizations.
As the page grow, one way to create original content and further engagement was to go Live and interview various members from different industries.
After going live, this helped the page reach over 10K on IG, nearing 30K on Facebook and start a TikTok account. I believe people enjoyed the fact they know a Soror (or Sister) ran the page and bounded over having a shared experience. Supporters enjoyed learning from a member of the organization.
