Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Barrale.

Hi Maria, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve been working in the weddings and events industry for over eight years, with a background that spans catering and events, corporate event planning, and ultimately wedding planning. That experience has allowed me to see events from every angle, which is something I truly value when it comes to thoughtful planning and seamless execution.

Over the years, I’ve planned weddings both across the U.S. and internationally, and I bring my background in fashion design into every event through an intentional focus on detail, pattern play, texture, and styling. Having worked on multiple sides of the industry allows me to anticipate challenges before they arise and ensures every event is executed with care, precision, and creativity.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road—and I don’t think it ever is, especially in the wedding industry. Every wedding is unique, which means every event comes with its own set of challenges, personalities, and moving parts. No two timelines, budgets, or family dynamics are ever the same, and learning to navigate that with calm and confidence comes with experience.

Being a business owner adds another layer, and so does balancing entrepreneurship with motherhood. There’s a constant rhythm of shifting priorities, time management, and learning how to be fully present both for my clients and my family.

While there have absolutely been challenges along the way, each one has shaped how I work today—making me more adaptable, organized, and intentional. Those experiences have strengthened my ability to problem-solve, plan thoughtfully, and show up for my couples with clarity and care.

Barr Event Co. is a full-service wedding planning and design studio specializing in timeless, elevated celebrations across the U.S. and internationally. We work with couples who value thoughtful design, seamless logistics, and a calm, well-organized planning experience.

What sets us apart is our multi-faceted industry background. With experience in catering sales, corporate events, and wedding planning, we approach each event with a strong understanding of budgets, timelines, and vendor collaboration ensuring every detail is both beautiful and realistic. Design is central to our work, influenced by my background in fashion and a love for texture, pattern, and refined styling.

I’m most proud of the reputation Barr Event Co. has built for being intentional, prepared, and deeply client-focused. At the heart of our brand is the goal to remove stress, set clear expectations, and create weddings that feel effortless, personal, and truly well cared for from start to finish.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Adaptability. Every wedding, client, and season brings something different, and being able to pivot calmly while staying organized and solution-focused has been essential to my success. It allows me to navigate challenges with clarity, manage expectations, and ensure my couples feel supported and confident throughout the planning process.
