Daily Inspiration: Meet Skylar Currie

Today we’d like to introduce you to Skylar Currie.

Hi Skylar, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started Serving Looks ATL as a creative outlet to share my love for food, travel, and discovering what makes cities feel alive. What began as documenting my own experiences quickly grew into a trusted platform as audiences connected with my honest recommendations and storytelling. Over time, that passion evolved into a full scale brand, blending content creation with strategy, partnerships, and community impact, leading to collaborations with national brands and recognition for the work I do today.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Building a brand meant learning how to be consistent, advocate for my value, and navigate partnerships while still staying creative. There were moments of burnout, uncertainty, and doing work before the recognition or revenue matched the effort, but those challenges shaped my discipline, clarity, and confidence in the direction I’m in now.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I create high impact food, travel, and lifestyle content that helps brands and destinations turn attention into real visibility and sustained engagement versus a one off post. I specialize in storytelling driven social content, UGC, and multi touch campaigns that feel authentic rather than overly produced, supported by strategy, press, and digital extensions. I’m known for building trust through honest recommendations and consistent results, and I’m most proud of growing a platform that blends creative storytelling with business strategy to deliver lasting impact.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I like best about Atlanta is the culture, the creativity, and the sense of community. It’s a city where food, music, entrepreneurship, and innovation constantly intersect, and there’s always something new being built or celebrated. What I like least is the traffic and how spread out the city can be, which sometimes makes access and connectivity more challenging than it should be.
