I grew up watching and helping my mother decorate wedding cakes, so I went to a prestigious confectionery school in Illinois to hone my passion and skills. Along the line I got a law degree and went to work in corporate – banking and finance. I learnt to masterfully navigate the intricate world of finance while cultivating a vibrant life rich in passion and purpose. As a dedicated and certified AML/Systems Analyst and my days were spent safeguarding financial integrity, a role perfectly suited to my sharp legal mind and meticulous attention to detail – skills honed through my foundational law degree and crafting of intricate sugar flowers.
My entrepreneurial spirit naturally surfaced and I ventured into multiple business ventures, a natural progression for me, driven by precision and a deep passion. Yet, my story is far richer than my professional accolades.
I am a loving single mother of two, expertly balancing the demands of a high-stakes career with the joys and responsibilities of family life, and I truly blossom in my creative pursuits. While my hands so adept at dissecting complex data, managing a commercial cleaning and janitorial service, they are equally at home nurturing a flourishing garden, coaxing beauty from the earth, or meticulously crafting delicate sugar flowers – transforming simple ingredients into edible works of art. And with an innate flair for design, I can joyfully turn any space into a celebration through my event decoration talents.
These aren’t mere hobbies; they are the fertile ground for my next ambitious venture. Driven by an unwavering faith and an evangelistic spirit, I am now channeling my diverse talents and meticulous approach towards building a seven-figure empire. I currently have a commercial cleaning/janitorial service business (Nest Cleaners LLC), an event organizing and decorating business with a couture cake business (Shuga and Spicy) and a career-training business.

I had countless sleepless nights when I had travelled to Illinois and was attending both morning and evening confectionery classes because I wanted to maximize my travel and time. I also needed to be present for my kids school gigs, doctors appointments and sometimes I had to decline some jobs because it conflicted with taking care of my kids. I relocated and had to start life from the scratch and some night had me soaking my pillows and asking if I made the right decisions. There were cultural differences, there was closed doors to funding so I did everything for myself, there was systemic selection when I was passed over despite being overtly qualified. There definitely were days when I felt like giving up, I sometimes wished I could just close my eyes and sleep and not look forward to the dawn, but I was all my kids have, and I am all I have too. No one else was coming to my rescue.
