Rising Stars: Meet Pree Guise of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pree Guise.

Hi Pree, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Everything started with me wanting to understand what my purpose is. I kept asking myself, What’s really for me? What can I do that actually feels fun and aligned? That curiosity led me to explore different creative paths like hosting, videography, motivational speaking, and mindset coaching. Each one taught me something valuable, and I grew through them, but I still felt like something was missing.

That missing piece ended up being painting. Painting found me out of nowhere during a time when my health wasn’t the best and I was simply looking for an outlet to self-express. It came naturally. I started painting in May of 2025, and I haven’t looked back since.

Painting feels like home. It feels aligned. I’m drawn to pop art because of the bold, vibrant colors, and I use it as a way to express happiness, self-love, and empowerment. Every creative path I explored led me here, and I now see that none of it was random. I’m not meant to fit into one box—I’m a true creative, and painting is the space where all parts of me come together while empowering others on their own self-growth journey.

Looking back, everything else felt like I was trying to make it fit, but painting doesn’t feel forced at all and that’s how I know it’s connected to my purpose.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of my biggest struggles has been navigating uncertainty, questioning myself, trying different paths, and wondering if I was making the “right” choices. There were moments where it felt frustrating to put so much energy into things and still feel like something wasn’t fully clicking.

Another challenge was going through mental health issues while still trying to show up creatively and stay motivated. There were times when I had to slow down, listen to my body, and give myself grace, which wasn’t easy. But those moments taught me patience and trust.

Looking back, the struggles were necessary. They pushed me to be more intentional, more self-aware, and more honest with myself. Without those challenges, I don’t think I would’ve found painting the way I did or learned how to trust the process instead of forcing outcomes.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’d say most people, especially on the internet know me as a motivational speaker and podcaster. I had a podcast called “I’m Not Perfect” where I talked about life, healing, and becoming your best self without the pressure of perfection. I shared my journey in a very real, unfiltered way, and people connected with that. I’d have people say things like, “Dang, I can’t believe you shared that,” LOL and I’d also get DMs from people telling me that seeing me be myself inspired them to do the same and that always meant everything to me.

I think people see me as someone who stands for authenticity and being yourself. That’s what matters most to me—embracing who you are and expressing it unapologetically. I’ve always been willing to say the things out loud that most people keep to themselves, and over the years I’ve grown more comfortable doing that.

This new journey into painting feels aligned with that same purpose. My art comes from a very real place, not just aesthetics, but lived experience. I bring all parts of myself into my work, and knowing that my honesty and creativity can inspire others to show up as themselves is what touches me most and why I do what I do.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Don’t let other people distract you from your vision. It’s okay to be open to advice and different perspectives, but at the end of the day, your direction has to come from you. I’ve learned that no one else can tell you what’s meant for you if they’re not the one living your life.

One of the most important things you can do is build a real relationship with yourself and that requires honesty. You have to keep it 100 with yourself about what you want, what feels aligned, and what doesn’t. That honesty is what helps you stay grounded and move with intention instead of forcing things.

And lastly, stay a student. There’s always more to learn, no matter where you are in your journey. Stay curious, ask questions, and give yourself permission to grow as you go.
