Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaleb Harden.
Hi Kaleb, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember. I didn’t see the kind of visuals around me where I grew up in Valdosta, so I began making them myself. What started as experimenting with clothing and short-form content slowly turned into a way of thinking identity, culture, and how people connect to brands emotionally, not just visually.
As I grew, so did my work. I realized I wasn’t just designing clothes or making videos but I was building a world. That led to the creation of SIXSEV and what it is today, which became less of a traditional brand and more of a creative platform. It allowed me to merge fashion, storytelling, and strategy, and to treat every project like a concept rather than a product.
Getting to where I am now has been about trust. I have to keep trusting my taste, trusting my instincts, and trusting that consistency matters more than trends. I’ve learned how to translate raw ideas into structured creative direction, whether that’s for my own brand or for other brands I design for. Today, I see my role as a creative director as someone who shapes vision, mood, and meaning. I’m still evolving, but everything I do is rooted in creating work that feels honest, elevated, and intentional.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road, but I believe things have happened the way they were supposed to. A lot of the struggle came from figuring things out without a clear blueprint. When you are building something that does not fit neatly into one lane, it can be hard to articulate your vision and even harder to get people to take it seriously early on.
There were moments of doubt, especially balancing creative ambition with real world responsibilities. Learning how to fund ideas, price my work, and stay consistent while still experimenting creatively was a challenge. I also had to learn patience and understand that growth does not always look like instant recognition. Sometimes you are laying groundwork that will not pay off immediately.
Another struggle was trusting myself. In a space driven by trends and validation, it is easy to second guess your instincts or rush ideas before they are ready. Over time, I have learned that discipline and restraint are just as important as creativity. Those challenges shaped how I work now.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I trigger emotion through video and fashion. Video was the first craft I fully invested myself in, starting back in middle school when I made edits for people to post on Snapchat. As my interest grew, so did my skill set. Eventually, I was not just editing video anymore. I was shooting it, directing it, and thinking about how visuals could carry feeling rather than just information.
That foundation led into everything I do now. I am most known for SIXSEV. Watching the way it grows and spreads still amazes me. It was created by me, but it has started to feel like something with its own autonomy, almost like when Vision disobeyed and began making decisions for himself. I’m a Marvel fan lol but the comparison feels real.
Seriously though, you would think that because I created SIXSEV, the brand and I would be seen as one and the same. Instead, it sometimes feels like SIXSEV is my cooler older brother. Some people even call me 7. In a strange way, the brand adopted me and gave me an identity rather than the other way around. That is what I am most proud of, creating something that stands on its own and can hold my ideas while allowing them to evolve into a more unified language over time.
What truly sets me apart from other creators is my ability to world build. That skill comes from critical thinking and a willingness to look inward at myself, my work, and the systems I create. Many people avoid placing themselves in a box, but I do not fear it. I see the box as a tool. Once you understand the structure, you can bend it, expand it, and build something intentional inside it. That is how I approach every project.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something that surprises people is how introspective I actually am. Because my work is bold and emotionally expressive, people often assume I move the same way in real life. In reality, a lot of my creativity comes from observation, reflection, and long periods of thinking before anything becomes visible.
Another thing people might not expect is that I genuinely believe I could be the chosen one. Not in a literal or ego driven sense, but in a quiet, internal way. I have always felt a strong sense of purpose and responsibility toward what I create, like I am meant to build something bigger than myself. That belief is not about fame or validation. It is about impact, legacy, and doing the work with intention.
I am also more structured than people assume, and I am deeply hands on in everything I create. From concept and direction to shooting, editing, and execution, I am involved in every layer of the process. The work may look instinctive, but there is a lot of discipline and self critique behind it. Every idea is questioned, refined, and placed carefully. SIXSEV may appear like a brand from the outside, but for me it is a reflection of how I process the world and a space where belief, doubt, and ambition all coexist.
