Today we’d like to introduce you to Niquitta Wolfe.
Hi Niquitta, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Everything I do as far as modeling, acting, music etc. started in my hometown of Jackson, MS. I was always participating in plays or showcases even as a child. When I moved to GA, I lost my job and auditioned to be a background actress for Step Up Highwater and I’ve been acting ever since. As an artist I was always the “hook girl” but while in ATL, I began my career as an independent artist. I met Elijah Lamar who introduced me to Just the Empress and that led to me performing at TakeOff ATL and that’s how my career as an artist really started.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road at all from loosing jobs to being hit by an 18 wheeler, nothing was easy. I was already adjusting to living on my own in a new city so there were a lot of sacrifices that had to be made. There were days I didn’t eat or barely got sleep but being a creative brought joy to my life and through the strength of God I was always able to pull through!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I like to consider myself a creative vs being an artist because when it comes to entertainment I’m well rounded, I’ve hosted shows, I’m a published author, writer, singer, rapper, actress, licensed minister, model and so much more. I honestly feel as if there is nothing I can’t do and I’m always ready to learn new things. I’ve worked on film crews, edited videos, and even dabbled in photography/videography. I’m most proud of myself succeeding in another city when others feared me moving away alone. Moving to ATL allowed me to flourish in ways I never thought I would and I’m grateful for it!
What makes you happy?
What makes me happy is being with family, being able to do the things I love as they become a provision for me, being surrounded by friends, and being the NSpiration God brought me here to be. I love allowing my gifts to bring forth smiles on others faces even if it’s me simply exercising the gift of spreading love.
