Meet Jordan Cohen of Consult JC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Cohen.

Hi Jordan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I usually joke that my path here wasn’t exactly planned. I started out in the Army, which gave me a strong sense of discipline and how important good systems are when things actually matter. After that, I moved into the business world and eventually became an entrepreneur, building and running a B2B apparel company that sold to retail chains and events.
That business is really where everything clicked for me. I was using Zoho One along with tools like Shopify, G Suite, and RingCentral to keep things running. Like most founders, I didn’t have the luxury of bending my business around software. I had to make the software work for how we actually operated. So I started customizing, automating, and connecting everything. CRM, Books, Projects, Creator, Analytics, all of it. Over time, I realized I enjoyed building those systems just as much as running the company itself.
As word got around, other business owners started asking for help. They were dealing with messy processes, disconnected tools, and a lot of manual work that slowed them down. I found myself stepping in to clean things up, automate workflows, and make their systems easier to use. That naturally turned into consulting, and eventually I went all in.
Today, I’m a Zoho Premium Partner based in Atlanta, and I work with small and mid-size businesses across different industries. My specialty is taking cluttered, overcomplicated setups and turning them into clean, automated systems that actually support growth instead of getting in the way. That can mean migrations, custom functions, API integrations, or just rethinking how a team uses Zoho day to day.
Along the way, I’ve also built a team and presence in South Africa, which opened the door to something I’m really passionate about: developing people. We now train talent there and connect them with Zoho clients in the U.S., creating opportunities on both sides.
At the end of the day, my story is really about learning how to make technology serve real businesses. I’ve been on the owner side of the table, I know the pressure, and I love helping companies build systems that make their lives easier instead of harder.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth road the whole way. In the beginning, I was doing everything myself. I was learning the systems while building them, often right alongside my clients. That meant long hours, a lot of trial and error, and figuring things out in real time while still making sure clients got good results. It was challenging, but it also forced me to really understand the tools at a deep level.
As the company grew, the challenges shifted. One of the hardest things for me as an entrepreneur was learning how to let go of control. When you build something from scratch, it’s easy to feel like you have to touch everything to make sure it’s done right. But that only works for so long. Eventually, I realized that bringing in senior leadership and trusting them with real responsibility wasn’t a risk, it was a necessity.
Once I made that shift, everything changed for the better. Delegating allowed the business to scale, and it freed me up to focus on what I do best, which is sales and building relationships. Looking back, those challenges were uncomfortable in the moment, but they shaped how the company operates today and made it much stronger overall.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Consult JC?
Consult JC was built around a pretty simple idea: businesses shouldn’t have to fight their own systems just to grow. Too often, I see teams buried in disconnected tools, manual work, and processes that made sense once but no longer scale. Our job is to clean that up.
At Consult JC, we specialize in Zoho integration, automation, and customization. We help small and mid-size businesses streamline operations, improve visibility, and build systems that actually support how they work day to day. That can mean implementing Zoho from the ground up, fixing an existing setup that’s gotten messy over time, or integrating Zoho with other platforms like marketing tools, finance systems, or third-party apps through custom automation and APIs.
What sets us apart is that we don’t lead with software, we lead with process. We take the time to understand how a business really operates, where things are breaking down, and where automation will actually make a difference. From there, we design systems that are practical, easy to use, and flexible enough to grow with the company. Customization is a big part of that. We don’t believe in forcing businesses into one-size-fits-all solutions.
I’m especially proud of how hands-on and supportive our approach is. We’re not just an implementation partner who disappears after go-live. We focus on long-term relationships, ongoing optimization, and making sure teams feel confident using the tools we put in place. We also offer staffing and training solutions, including developing talent internationally and connecting them with U.S.-based clients who need reliable, Zoho-trained support.
At the end of the day, Consult JC is about helping businesses run better. Clear systems, smarter automation, and technology that works for people, not the other way around. That’s what we’re known for, and that’s what we care most about delivering.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
A lot of people are surprised to learn that I’m an Army veteran. Most people know me through my work in tech, automation, and consulting, so that part of my background doesn’t always come up. But my time in the Army played a big role in shaping how I think about leadership, discipline, and systems. It taught me how important structure and accountability are, especially when things get stressful, and those lessons still show up every day in how I run my business and work with clients.
