Today we’d like to introduce you to Travis Stahl.
Hi Travis, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I grew up with a father that was in the roofing and construction industry. I remember helping him as a small child and learning over the years and then branching out into other construction industries such as framing, and full building erection for companies like Chief, Cleary, and others. I have worked for others over the years and I finally decided to open my own company and try to carry over the values and beliefs I was raised with in my company.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There have been alot of struggles along the way as I prefer to do things completely on my own and not ask for support/help along the way. I have started thought things were great, found out there were things happening that didn’t fit my moral/ethical beliefs and decided to “fire” everyone instead of looking the other way. That was a tough lesson to learn of just because things are going smoothly doesn’t mean things are going well, or properly. I would rather start over from scratch than allow something I am involved with to be run with terrible standards of behavior, work quality, and accountability. I took me years to rebuild after that but it taught me so much and really refocused me on what matters most to me as an owner, a parent, and as a member of our community.

I decided to start this company so I could be proud of how things are done from start to finish. This is a Veteran and family owned and run business with my boys learning as they grow and work with my. We specialize in roof coatings, but we do residential roofing of all styles and types, we are certified for commercial flat roofing (TPO/PVC). We love specialty installs such as slate, spanish tile, cedar shakes. I think what sets us apart from other companies is that we understand that we are just like our customers. We are everyday guys and gals that want quality work, with fair legitimate pricing and we don’t aren’t going to give people the normal corporate run around that is typical in the roofing industry especially now with private equity companies buying up so many companies. We want to be the “mom and pop” private owned small business that takes pride in what we do and that people refer to their family and friends because we were honest and fair.
