Hi Betsey, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Alpharetta, Milton, Cumming Connect Moms started 7 years ago when my family and I moved from the Fairfax, Virginia / DC area to Alpharetta and didn’t know anyone. I enjoy people, families, and meaningful relationships, so starting over in a new city with our littles felt especially isolating.
So I decided to create a Facebook Group and page. Alpharetta, Milton, Cumming & Surrounding area moms group…the longest group name ever 😂Eventually shortened to AMC Connect Moms. What began as a simple way to meet other moms quickly grew into Alpharetta, Milton & Cumming Connect Moms a beautiful & thriving community of over 28,000 local ladies, rooted in kindness, connection, and support. About a year ago we launched monthly business networking events celebrate incredible business women in our community who are making a meaningful impact.
This community wouldn’t exist without the heart, generosity, and support of the incredible women who show up daily to encourage, help, and uplift one another. I’m so thankful for all the amazing ladies in our group. Together, we are building meaningful connections that truly strengthen our local community.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Keeping our group kind, encouraging, helpful and free from spammers & scammers can be challenging.
We’ve continued to grow and add team members to help moderate and keep our community and uplifting & safe space.

I’m proud to be part of a community that helps connect moms, women & small businesses owners.
