Hi Ricardo & Desiree , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story is really a blend of family, hard work, and faith. My husband Ricardo and I started Jaimes Landscape & Design LLC with nothing but a vision and a determination to build something lasting for our children. We didn’t come from money, and we didn’t have investors — just a strong work ethic and a belief that we could create a business that was different.
In the beginning, it was just the two of us balancing long days on job sites, late nights planning, and raising our kids at the same time. Every project mattered, every client mattered, and every opportunity pushed us to grow. Over time, our reputation for quality work, transparency, and true family-based service started to spread.
As we expanded into pools, hardscapes, pavers, decks, and full outdoor living transformations, our business became more than just landscaping. It became a legacy project — something our kids are proud of and something we pour our heart into every day.
Today, we manage large-scale outdoor living projects across multiple counties in Georgia, and we’re still growing. But what I’m most proud of is that we built all of this together as a family. Our journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it — and it’s only the beginning.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped who I am today. When my husband and I started our business, we had to learn everything the hard way — from managing finances and scheduling to handling clients, equipment, and permits. We were young entrepreneurs building a company while raising a family, so balancing motherhood with business ownership was one of my first big challenges.
There were times we faced financial pressure, times when projects were overwhelming, and moments when we had to rebuild, reinvent, or simply push through exhaustion to keep moving forward. We also had to deal with competition, people doubting us, and the daily pressure of running a company with real responsibilities and real clients depending on us.
But those struggles taught me how to lead with patience, communicate clearly, problem-solve under pressure, and stay committed even when things felt uncertain. They made me stronger, more organized, and more confident. Looking back, the road wasn’t smooth — but every bump prepared me for bigger opportunities

We’re known for creating high-end custom outdoor spaces — everything from pools, decks, hardscapes, retaining walls, drainage solutions, paver patios, and outdoor kitchens, all the way to full backyard overhauls.

Something surprising that most people don’t know about me is that while I run a successful outdoor living and construction business, I’m also currently studying to become a real estate agent. Most people assume I’m only focused on the contracting side, but I’m actually expanding into real estate so I can understand homes from every angle — inside and out.
My goal is to bridge both worlds: helping families create their dream outdoor spaces and helping them find the perfect home to match. Most people don’t realize how much time I’m investing behind the scenes, studying, preparing, and pushing myself to grow professionally. It’s a big step, but it’s one I’m excited about because it allows me to serve clients in a completely new and more complete way.
