My background in the beauty industry taught me discipline, customer service, and the power of ownership early on. As I grew, I noticed a major gap: talented business owners-especially women—were making money but lacked proper tax education, structure, and protection. That realization led me into the tax industry, where I became passionate about not just preparing taxes, but educating and empowering business owners to build legitimate, compliant, and profitable businesses.
Over time, that passion evolved into Slay Masters Beauty & Tax Pros, a dual-service company that merges beauty, tax preparation, and business education. What started as a personal mission turned into a platform where I now train tax professionals, mentor EROs, and help entrepreneurs transition from hustling to operating like true business owners.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most entrepreneurs, my journey has been filled with lessons that came through challenge. One of the biggest struggles was learning everything the hard way—navigating industries where information isn’t always freely shared, especially for women and minority-owned businesses.
I faced moments of burnout, financial pressure, and self-doubt while building from the ground up. Balancing multiple roles, educating myself on compliance, and staying consistent during seasons when results weren’t immediate tested my discipline and faith. There were also times when I had to unlearn hustle culture and replace it with structure, systems, and strategy.
However, those challenges became the foundation of my strength. Every obstacle sharpened my leadership, reinforced the importance of education, and pushed me to create pathways for others so they wouldn’t have to struggle in silence. What once felt like setbacks ultimately became the very experiences that now allow me to serve, teach, and lead with confidence.

I don’t move quickly just to move—I move when it aligns with my values, my faith, and the long-term vision I have for my life and legacy.
Another surprise is that much of my passion for education and mentorship came from moments of uncertainty early in my journey. I spent a lot of time quietly learning, observing, and refining before ever stepping into visibility. That behind-the-scenes season shaped my commitment to doing things the right way and creating safe, ethical pathways for others.
