Today we’d like to introduce you to Gaurav Mahajan.
Hi Gaurav, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The Enchanting Story
Knowledge is what the past was built on.
Intelligence is what is shaping our today and tomorrow.
Enchanting began with a father searching for the right math program for his child and discovering that most schools were still teaching the math of the past, focused on procedures and memorization, while the world had already moved into the age of AI and intelligent machines.
This search was personal. Once believing he was average at math, he later discovered its power through real-world application during his MBA. Curiosity replaced fear, inquiry replaced doubt, and math became a way of thinking not just a subject.
Years later, helping his own child with Math Olympiads revealed the same gap. Children were being trained to follow steps, not to think, question, and apply intelligently. So he built something new—not a class, but a system.
A system grounded in a simple but powerful progression:
Curiosity → Inquiry → Knowledge → Application
At Enchanting, learning always begins with curiosity. Curiosity leads students to ask better questions. Those questions build meaningful knowledge. And when that knowledge is applied across real situations, it becomes true intelligence—the driver of innovation, problem-solving, and real-world impact.
This philosophy is the foundation of Enchanting Math Academy.
Across K–12, AP math, and our next-generation SAT/ACT platform, Enchanting Test Prep IQ, we focus on smart ways to learn. Through thoughtful instruction and intelligent analytics, we remove unnecessary stress and help students develop the ability to think deeply, adapt confidently, and apply knowledge intelligently—not just memorize it.
Together with educators and parents across the U.S., we are rethinking learning for a new world.
We are not just teaching math or test prep.
We are shaping the creators, innovators, and leaders of tomorrow.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Building Enchanting meant challenging long-standing beliefs about how math should be taught. One of the biggest struggles was breaking away from the idea that success in math comes from concept memorization and repetitive practice. Helping parents, students, and even educators see the value of curiosity, thinking, and application took time and trust.
There were also very real constraints. This was built alongside a demanding full-time career and constant travel, which meant long nights, limited resources, and slow, deliberate progress. Designing a system that was both deeply human and scalable—without losing quality—was another major challenge.
Perhaps the hardest part was patience. Educational transformation doesn’t produce instant results. Staying committed to a long-term vision while resisting shortcuts was difficult, especially in a space that often rewards quick wins over meaningful learning.
But each challenge strengthened the foundation. The struggles clarified the mission, sharpened the framework, and reaffirmed why Enchanting exists—to build intelligence, not just outcomes.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Enchanting is an education organization built with a clear purpose: to prepare children for the world they are growing into, not the one that existed decades ago.
We specialize in future-ready math learning and test preparation by focusing on how students think, not just what they memorize. Our work spans K–12 math, AP-level math, and our next-generation SAT/ACT platform, Enchanting Test Prep IQ. Across all offerings, our philosophy remains the same—intelligence is developed through curiosity, inquiry, and application.
What sets Enchanting apart is our learning framework:
Curiosity → Inquiry → Knowledge → Application.
Instead of rote procedures and surface-level practice, we help students build reasoning, intuition, and adaptability. This approach not only improves academic outcomes, but also equips students with skills that matter in an AI-driven world—problem-solving, strategic thinking, and confidence in unfamiliar situations.
With Enchanting Test Prep IQ, we have redefined SAT and ACT preparation. Our intelligent platform uses advanced analytics and real exam simulations to identify exactly where students are losing points and guide focused, efficient practice. The result is preparation that is strategic, low-stress, and highly effective, rather than overwhelming and repetitive.
Brand-wise, what we are most proud of is trust. Parents see their children become more curious and confident. Students begin to enjoy learning and think independently. Educators partner with us because our system is both human-centered and scalable, without compromising depth.
What we want readers to know is this: Enchanting is not just another tutoring or test-prep company. We are building a movement around intelligent learning—shaping students who can apply knowledge, think clearly, and grow into the creators, innovators, and leaders of tomorrow.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
To us, success is not just higher scores or faster results.
Success is when a student becomes curious instead of anxious, confident instead of dependent, and capable of thinking through unfamiliar problems without fear. It’s when learning shifts from memorizing answers to asking better questions.
We define success by long-term impact—students who can apply what they know, adapt to new challenges, and think independently in a world that keeps changing. If a child walks away believing “I can figure this out”, that is success.
Grades and test results matter, but they are outcomes.
True success is building intelligence that lasts.
