Inspiring Conversations with Patricia Gonzalez of La Clínica

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Gonzalez.

Hi Patricia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I came from Colombia, South America almost 28 years ago. I completed
med school but I needed to take some boards in order to be able to practice medicine in the USA. Because I needed to work and improve my english, started working at Emory Hospital doing medical research. After several years doing Research, I decided to go back to school and I graduated as a Nurse Practitioner at Kennesaw State University. I opened my own practice 6 years ago.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been hard, specially because I had to work almost 3 jobs at the time, going to college to do my bachelor’s and the masters degree and working at the same time plus having a baby

We’ve been impressed with La Clínica, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
It’s a family medicine practice for insured patients. We treat all medical conditions, we have a laboratory, also we offer some cosmetics procedures like Botox, weight loss, laser hair removal, etc.
Most of my patients are hispanic but everyone is welcome

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Passion for what I do.
Compassion for my patients
Respect for any person
