Meet Jayvon Williams of Panurgic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayvon Williams.

Hi Jayvon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
August 23rd, 2001. The year I was born (Fun Fact: Kobe Bryant and I have the same birthday), my name is Jayvon Ramone Williams, and I’m from Albany, GA, but now I stay in Fayetteville, GA. Went to Kennesaw State University for my Bachelor’s in Business Administration Degree in Marketing (Minor: Entrepreneurship) and the Co-Founder of “Panurgic”! My Hobbies are Sports, Investing/anything business-related, and music (as an artist). I’ve been playing sports since I was young: basketball, football, track, and boxing. With that said, I only took basketball seriously – that wasn’t working out, so I started making music in 10th grade and have been creating music since. Although that’s a whole different story in itself, and hopefully this ages well when my music pops off!

As for where I’m from, Albany? It’s a Small City, with big obstacles – a city with gang violence, drug dealing, poverty, and innocent or non-innocent deaths influenced by the environment. These outcomes could be from personal reasons or peer pressure – either or; still not a good place. I stayed more in the countryside, “Radium Springs” or “Barbragale Ave” to be exact. So, I was blessed enough not be around the usual environment influenced by negativity. The neighborhood I stayed in was more like a community when growing up, we all knew each other, and I could go on and on about the stories, but I digress. The person I wanna focus on is “Nicholas/Nick,” my business partner. My brother from another mother, we basically grew up together! Now, the brand was first called “Precision.” We created it in the spring of 2018 at the lunch table in Monroe High School. However, it was already trademarked, so Nick came up with the most unique name ever, “Panurgic”! As soon as he said it, I knew it was the one, old term that hasn’t been used since the 1800’s – we’re basically reviving a word that hasn’t been used in 2 centuries.

All in all, that’s a summary of who I am, what I do, and where I’m from. I’ve always felt like my purpose is much bigger than I anticipate. I’ve had strangers throughout my life tell me great things about what I can become that I wouldn’t even tell myself. Which told me two things: 1. My self-esteem was lacking, and 2. I know I can become someone who sets the right example for others. Growing up with anxiety and migraines, I’ve never had trouble communicating, but as I got older, I did become more secluded. Over time, I’ve realized I need to get out of this bubble I call my mind and let my ideas flow. Show others what I’m capable of – BE ME. Show others we all can be skillful in all kinds of work – no need to limit ourselves, BE PANURGIC.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not a smooth road. Mom and dad divorced when I was young – so my dad basically raised me and my other two brothers by himself. Fat forward to now – things are decent but it could always be better! Life still has it challenges, but that doesn’t stop me from me chasing my dreams and ambitions . I won’t go into much detail but addition to the anxiety and migraines. I didn’t take the risks/chances that would’ve changed not only my life but my family’s as well in regards to investing. Since then, I’m learning to get my confidence back and to take those risks.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Panurgic ?
Panurgic, by definition, means “Someone skillful in any or all kinds of work, ready and able to do anything.”

Our goal is to apply this concept to our clothing brand. Being diverse in our approach – tapping into other countries’ cultures and trends weather it’s past or present)
Main Target markets: Street Wear, Athletic Sports, and Business/Business Casual

Demographics: Men and Women ages could range from Teen to late 20’s or Early 30’s – though age could vary depending on the products at the time (As we won’t sell everything at once, but based on the season, theme, focus, etc.)

Concepts for commercials (Sport and Business market):

Commercial for sports: The individual is seen excelling in various sports, demonstrating that we’re targeting sports as a target demographic while also connecting with consumers based on the sports they enjoy playing. As he/she scores a basketball, throws a football, scores a soccer ball, hits a golfball etc., he/she then is shown to be the same person and says, “Skillful in all kinds of work? Be Panurgic.”

Commercial for Business/Business Casual: Same concept but applies to business/business casual consumers – have he/she being shown good in tech, presenting, editing, anything in a business related setting. He/She says, “Be Panurgic.”

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I would mentors is all around me. I learn from everyone around me – I listen and observe. As for advice I would give? Be yourself, always be yourself – I’ve learned when your authentic and true to yourself. Life will work itself out, but actions must have purpose each step. Your biggest enemy is yourself, not others. It’s all about how you view things. That’s my only advice in life or networking – because that is what works for me.
