Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenneth Shider.
Hi Kenneth, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey in Real Estate began with a clear vision and a deep belief in ownership, legacy, and service. I officially obtained my Real Estate license in January 2016, and quickly immersed myself in learning every aspect of industry from client advocacy and negotiations to market strategy and community impact. Real Estate wasn’t just a career choice for me; it was a pathway to helping others build wealth while building something meaningful of my own.
As my experience grew, so did my desire to lead at a higher level. In October 2020, I passed the Real Estate Broker exam, and on February 1, 2021, I officially obtained my Real Estate Broker license. That milestone represented more than a credential, it marked my transition into leadership, mentorship, and business ownership. On May 22, 2021, I launched Shider Haus Real Estate Group, surrounded by family, close friends, and colleagues who had supported my journey from the very beginning.
Later that year, my vision expanded beyond Georgia. On December 20, 2021, I launched Shider Haus Realty of South Carolina, where I also serve as Broker-in-Charge. This expansion allowed me to broaden my impact, serve clients across state lines, and continue building a brand rooted in education, integrity, and results.
Today, Shider Haus operates with a strong focus on empowering buyers, sellers, and investors through informed decision-making and strategic guidance. Through both my work and my social platforms, I strive to educate clients on the Real Estate process while helping them move confidently toward their goals. At the core of everything I do is a commitment to excellence, leadership, and creating opportunities that extend beyond a single transaction.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a completely smooth road, but I believe nothing truly worth having comes without challenges. Every stage of my journey required hard work, dedication, guidance, a strong support system, and a great deal of faith. Early on, one of the biggest struggles was learning to navigate the business while building credibility and consistency at the same time. Real Estate demands discipline, patience, and resilience, especially during market shifts, economic uncertainty, and moments when results don’t come as quickly as expected.
Another challenge was the responsibility that comes with leadership. Transitioning from being an individual agent to becoming a broker and business owner meant learning how to lead others, make difficult decisions, and remain accountable not only for my own success but for the success of those who trusted me with their careers and transactions. Expanding into a second state added another layer of complexity, requiring a deeper understanding of regulations, operations, and market dynamics.
Despite these challenges, I remained committed to growth. I leaned on my support system, sought mentorship, stayed prayerful, and trusted the process. Every obstacle became a lesson that strengthened my character, sharpened my leadership, and reinforced my purpose. The struggles did not stop the journey; they shaped it and continue to motivate me to build with intention, integrity, and long-term vision.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something that often surprises people is that my passion for Real Estate started long before it became my career. While many young kids talked about becoming doctors, lawyers, or teachers, I always knew I wanted to work in Real Estate. I had a genuine love for houses of all styles and types. I was fascinated by architecture, layouts, neighborhoods, and the stories homes tell. Even as a kid, I could walk through a home and imagine the life being built inside it.
While my love for Real Estate was always intuitive and personal, my education helped me approach the industry strategically. It gave me the foundation to build, scale, and lead a brokerage with intention, structure, and long-term vision.
That combination of passion and preparation is what continues to drive my work today. Real Estate is both personal and professional for me. It is where instinct, education, and purpose meet.
