Meet Terry Jones of Metro Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terry Jones.

Hi Terry, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been drawn to creativity, storytelling, and the energy that comes from bringing people together. I started my journey by earning a degree in Public Relations from Clark Atlanta University, where I learned how powerful communication and brand storytelling can be. Later, I pursued a Master’s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Full Sail University, which helped shape the way I think about building ideas into real, sustainable ventures.

Early on, I began working in styling, image consulting, and production, taking on whatever opportunities I could to learn the industry from the inside out. I wasn’t chasing a specific title — I was chasing experience. That mindset led me into talent relations, production coordination, media logistics, and live event operations for major networks like BET, MTV, VH1, and Revolt, supporting everything from award shows and red carpets to promo shoots and large-scale activations.

At the same time, I knew I wanted to build something of my own. I founded SENOJ Imaging, LLC, where I produce pop-ups, brand activations, and fashion-forward experiences, and consult on event production and publicity. Building my company taught me how to wear many hats creative, producer, problem solver, and leader often all in the same day.

My path hasn’t been linear, and it definitely hasn’t been easy, but every step has added a layer to who I am today: a creative operations professional who understands both the artistic vision and the logistics required to bring that vision to life. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I still see myself as a work in progress, focused on growth, impact, and creating experiences that people remember.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road. Working primarily as a freelancer means living with uncertainty here isn’t always a guaranteed next job, which can be mentally and financially challenging. I’ve had to learn how to stay disciplined, proactive, and resilient even when things felt unstable.

Self-doubt and confidence were also big hurdles early on. Being in fast-paced, high-level environments can make you question if you truly belong, especially when you’re still finding your footing. Over time, I realized that my work ethic, consistency, and attention to detail were my proof. Each successful project helped rebuild my confidence.

There have also been dry spells with little to no work, which can feel discouraging. During those periods, I focused on sharpening my skills, nurturing relationships, and developing my own projects so I wasn’t completely dependent on outside opportunities.

On top of that, the entertainment industry is constantly changing from shifts in technology to how content is produced and consumed. I’ve had to stay flexible, open to learning, and willing to pivot.

All of these challenges taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of betting on myself, even when the path isn’t clear.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work lives at the intersection of creativity, operations, and people. I specialize in event production, talent relations, media logistics, and brand-facing experiences, while also maintaining a background in styling, image consulting, and public relations. Over the years, I’ve worked across award shows, red carpets, promo shoots, music videos, and brand activations for networks and clients such as BET, MTV, VH1, Revolt, MGM Studios, Bounce TV, and various artists and creatives.

I’m known as a bit of a “jack of many trades,” someone who can move seamlessly between coordinating talent schedules, managing run-of-show logistics, overseeing AV and live event flow, styling talent, and supporting production teams on-site. That range allows me to step in wherever I’m needed and help projects stay on track.

What I’m most proud of is building my company, SENOJ Imaging. It started as a personal styling and image consulting brand and has grown into a creative services and event production company offering brand management, publicity, and experiential event production. Watching it evolve alongside my career has been incredibly rewarding.

What sets me apart is my adaptability. I’m comfortable in multiple lanes of the entertainment world, and I understand both the creative vision and the operational execution behind it. I bring a calm, solutions oriented mindset to fast-paced environments, and I genuinely enjoy helping ideas turn into real, successful experiences.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have strong support systems along the way. My friends and family have been my biggest supporters and constant source of encouragement. They’ve helped keep me accountable, motivated me during difficult moments, and reminded me of my potential even when I struggled to see it myself.

Professionally, the directors and leadership within the BET Original Programming Talent Relations team played a major role in my growth. Through freelancing with BET, they challenged me, trusted me with responsibility, and helped refine my talent relations and production skill set. Their guidance pushed me to operate at a higher standard and showed me what excellence looks like at a professional level.

I’ve also learned a great deal from the many producers, coordinators, and creatives I’ve worked alongside over the years. Every collaboration has contributed to my growth and helped shape the professional I am today.
