Today we’d like to introduce you to Sadie Winter.
Hi Sadie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey into business wasn’t linear. I was in a professional position that ended abruptly, which forced me to step away from chiropractic for several years. During that time, I became a mother and underwent open heart surgery – two life-altering experiences that completely reshaped my perspective.
There was a moment of clarity when I realized that if I didn’t start my own practice, I likely never would. What initially felt like a setback became a redirection. Opening my business gave me a renewed sense of purpose and focus, a way to channel my drive into something meaningful for both my family and my community.
As a single mom running a practice, “busy” doesn’t quite capture it. But I’m deeply passionate about helping families experience natural, proactive healthcare from preconception and pregnancy through infancy and beyond. Supporting mothers, babies, and growing families feels personal because I understand how transformative those seasons of life can be.
I opened my doors in July 2023, and each year has brought growth, lessons, and transitions to navigate. The journey hasn’t been easy, but it has shaped me into the doctor and leader I am today. More than anything, I’m building a legacy for my son and one that shows him that even when life shifts unexpectedly, you can choose courage over fear.
I believe regret is far heavier than risk. If you don’t follow your calling, you risk living with “what if,” and that’s a place I never want to be, nor do I want my son to see modeled.
Today, I remain deeply committed to serving my community while continuously expanding my education and clinical expertise to provide exceptional care.
I’m focused on becoming more visible so I can connect with families seeking natural solutions and reach those who don’t yet know there are options available for their children. I want parents to feel empowered, informed, and supported in making proactive choices for their family’s health.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to building my practice hasn’t been without challenges. Stepping away from my profession unexpectedly, navigating single motherhood, recovering from open heart surgery, and launching a business from the ground up all required a level of resilience I didn’t know I had. There were seasons of uncertainty, financial pressure, and moments where quitting would have felt easier.
But those struggles became refining moments. They forced me to grow in confidence, strengthen my mindset, and take full ownership of my path. I learned how to lead myself before leading a business. I learned discipline when motivation wasn’t there. And I learned that adversity doesn’t disqualify you, it prepares you.
Every obstacle shaped how I show up today with empathy for the families I serve, grit in how I build my practice, and gratitude for the opportunity to create something lasting. What once felt like setbacks became the very foundation that built my strength as a mother, doctor, and entrepreneur.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Nova Chiropractic?
Nova Chiropractic is a family-centered practice in Milton, Georgia specializing in pediatric, perinatal, and family chiropractic care. We serve everyone from women preparing for pregnancy to expecting mothers, newborns, infants, and growing families who want a proactive, natural approach to health.
What sets my practice apart is the focus on nervous system–based care. We don’t chase symptoms, we evaluate how the nervous system is functioning and how that impacts everything from sleep and digestion to focus, development, and overall well-being. Many of the families we see are looking for answers when traditional routes haven’t fully addressed their concerns, especially when it comes to their children.
I’m particularly passionate about supporting mothers through pregnancy and postpartum, as well as caring for babies early and often to help support proper growth and development. Creating a calm, welcoming space where parents feel heard, educated, and empowered is a core part of my brand.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud that Nova represents both strength and renewal. The name itself reflects new beginnings, which mirrors so many of the families we serve as they step into new seasons of life. I’ve intentionally built a practice that feels warm, personal, and community-driven rather than transactional. Patients are like family here.
I want readers to know that chiropractic care isn’t just about back pain. It can be a powerful, proactive tool for optimizing health at every stage of life. My mission is to help families feel supported, informed, and confident in choosing natural healthcare options that align with their values. We know that healthy communities start with healthy families, which is the driving force behind our mission.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I believe success looks different for everyone. For some, it’s the wealth they accumulate; for others, the number of people they impact or the ability to live the life they’ve always dreamed of.
For me, success stems from my setbacks. It comes from facing life’s challenges and remaining steadfast, even when the path was uncertain or difficult. Every obstacle has shaped me, strengthened me, and guided me toward creating a meaningful, fulfilling life for my son and me.
I also believe that the more successful you become, the more people you can help. True success isn’t just personal fulfillment, it’s using what you’ve gained, learned, and overcome to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Success isn’t about perfection, but rather perseverance, growth, and building a life that reflects your values, dreams, and purpose.
