Meet Rebecca Enslein of Marietta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Enslein.

Hi Rebecca, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I often get asked how I became a photographer. It wasn’t something I sought out; it found me.

I began the business when I was in law school. Desperate for a creative outlet from my stifling studies, I turned to photography.

I started by doing portraits for professors and friends, and photographed a couple of weddings as well.

I threw myself into learning everything I could about light, editing, and composition of photos.

After graduating from law school and passing the bar exam, I decided that I would be much happier as a photographer!

The Studio B became my full-time job, and I never looked back!

I get so much joy from capturing the celebrations and special details of my clients’ lives.

Wedding days fly by and babies grow quickly. It is my honor to provide you with images that let you relive a moment in time.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course not! What road that’s worth traveling ever is?

Starting a business is a very humbling process.

In the beginning, I would go anywhere someone needed a photographer.

I photographed store openings, baptisms, things people wanted to sell on eBay, I did it all!

Over time, I built a portfolio of portraits and weddings, which were the two places I really wanted to focus my energy.

I learned how to manage client expectations, make even the most stubborn child smile, and help wedding clients remember the joy of their big day.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve been a professional photographer for more than 15 years, specializing in celebratory events and portraiture.

I’m best known for documenting milestone moments like weddings and bar and bat mitzvahs with a mix of an editorial style and honest storytelling, and for creating relaxed portraits of families and individuals.

My approach is centered on making people feel comfortable in front of the camera so the images feel natural, expressive, and true to the moment rather than overly posed.

I’m especially proud of the trust I’ve built with clients over the years and of how my work balances technical polish with emotional authenticity.

In addition to client work, I’ve expanded into creating visual content for brands, with a focus on lifestyle and product imagery in the candle and fragrance space.

That work draws on the same storytelling foundation, but applies it to brand narratives and atmosphere-driven visuals.

What sets me apart is the combination of my history of event experience, strong art direction, and a storytelling mindset that translates across both personal milestones and brand content.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that preparation and empathy matter just as much as technical skill.

Doing the work ahead of time, understanding the flow of an event, and planning for different scenarios create space to be fully present in the moment and avoid stress.

I’ve also learned that kindness and calm energy go a long way!

Most people are not naturally comfortable being photographed, so how you make them feel is just as important as what you create with the camera.

When people feel at ease, it shows in the images. Creating that comfort and trust is something I take seriously and continue to prioritize with every client.
