Check Out Keren Selah’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keren Selah.

Keren Selah

Hi Keren, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started creative direction back in 2023. That’s when i decided to pick up a camera and start taking photos. At the time i was just creating photoshoot concepts & creative decks. In mid 2024, i decided to really lock in with photography & creative direction so i bought my first official photography camera. I grew my portfolio & positioned myself as a photographer more than a creative director at the time . In 2025, my skills sparked a new wave of creativity for me. I studied filmmaking which led me back to my first love: creative direction. Being self taught in film really helped me develop my skills today as a CD.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I think every creative comes across a bumpy road every now & then. Sometimes i would doubt myself & have imposter syndrome. Creativity requires patience & when you have many ideas flowing from your mind , it can cause chaos internally. Once you find that middle ground between acceptance & obedience (just create) you’ll be fine.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a creative director, film director & photographer based in Atlanta. I specialize in concept driven visuals for artists and brands that want more than just a photoshoot or a visual. I focus on building strong visual identities through direction, mood, storytelling, and intentional details. I care about how it feels, not just how it looks.

I’m most proud of building my portfolio on my own at 23 and creating opportunities for myself instead of waiting for them. What sets me apart is intention. I don’t create random visuals. Everything has a purpose and contributes to a bigger picture.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up i was very optimistic, self driven, & creative. My interests were music, art, & poetry. Most of my inspirations were from people, places, & emotions.
