Daily Inspiration: Meet Harmone’ Romain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Harmone’ Romain.

Harmone’ Romain

Hi Harmone’, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hi, my name is Harmone’ Romain. My journey all started at the age of 10. I already loved watching movies, from seeing the actors play the characters, the creative story, the beautiful scenes captured, and the special effects to tie it all together. It fascinated me; I wanted to know how they did it. Whenever I received a DVD, you can be sure that I would watch the “Behind the Scenes” feature. Even after seeing those clips, it still baffled me. Despite my curiosity, I didn’t give it much thought. I told my parents that I wanted to be a doctor, a veterinarian, a teacher, or even a train conductor. The “classics,” if you will. Little did I know that film would be the career field I would be going into.

To make things even better, I figured this out after recording myself playing with toys—Littlest Pet Shop, to be specific. I watched the show and soon saw the toys in the stores, Then I decided to google them, and BAM, I found LPSTube!

LPSTube Definition: A Littlest Pet Shop (LPS) community on YouTube that makes videos with one of Hasbro’s popular toy lines, Littlest Pet Shop.

These videos piqued my interest, so I decided to make my own videos! From here, I started collecting many pets for my videos. While doing that, I wrote stories and made mini-sets for my characters. I also used many different editors along the way to better suit my skills and needs. It’s the same with cameras. I wanted the best quality videos, but I had to make do with a Samsung tablet for filming…a tablet. But as I grew, so did technology, and there came my own phone—yay! I eventually bought a camera for $100 with everything I wanted. Not to mention, my filming space continued to expand from a coffee table to a full desk. On September 27th, 2016, I gained my first 100 subscribers! That’s pretty speedy if you ask me.

I did end up leaving the community for a short time, which could have been beneficial for my success in the channel; I didn’t quit. I’ve made many friends and got so much inspiration from many cool LPStubers. I used this medium to express my passion for creation. I tested my limits by doing class projects with my videos, learning new editing techniques I would never have tried on my own, changing my voice to better suit a character, implementing my art skills, and collaborating with others. Though I’m moving on to bigger dreams, the small ones never die, and neither will the channel.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it’s definitely been a winding path. I believe that the issues I struggled with the most are time and consistency—and I’m just gonna add creativity to be safe, because it really is challenging to be original nowadays. I already struggle with time management, which, in turn, leaves me with little time to accomplish the goal of a project. Things would get pushed back and eventually forgotten, especially when new projects come into the picture. I think that comes into play when I have many ideas and want to do them all at the same time; your girl gets overwhelmed and then clocks out. That’s where my inconsistency comes in… there really isn’t any, and I want to change my ways badly. If I can’t get a project done, I can’t be consistent; they go hand in hand. This hurts my motivation and creativity. I’m not stimulating that part of my brain physically, just mentally…through the thoughts of doing, thinking, and hoping. But I’m slowly changing that this year! 2026 will be my year I know it!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I love anything that allows you to be creative. What I love the most, though, is film & video. I have a small business by the name of “PurriBurri Media” that specializes in video editing, photography, and videography, with graphic design, marketing, and art on the side. I also dabble in acting and voice acting, and I hope to start modeling too. In addition, I operate a small reselling store called “Purri The Seller” on Mercari. I know, I got a lot going on but I can’t complain!

I’m focusing more on photography now since it’s easier to produce and clients want it more. Video editing is my main passion though, and I tend to be a perfectionist with it. I want to tell a story with my videos. Everything is intentional, and I hope to make people feel emotion watching my edits, whether I recorded the video myself or not. I’m most proud when I have a vision and I’m able to recreate it. I also take pride in gaining new editing skills and taking on projects that push me beyond my comfort zone.

What sets me apart is me! There are many people who do the same things I do, but no one can do them my way. I, for one, do multiple things that line up together to give maximum services, reasonable and affordable prices, pure satisfaction to the customer, and straight passion in what I give you. You can’t go wrong!

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
For me,–this has nothing to do with what I do now–but I hold it close to my heart. That is, playing the Wii. I know right, not what you thought, but I LOVED playing it. Especially Wii Sports, the cycling one. I’d be sweating by the time I was done playing! I say this game is my favorite memory because I ended up trading my Wii in for a 3DS, which I do regret. Don’t let the 7-year-old make those decisions next time.
