Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Nicole.
Hi Anna , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey with makeup started in my early twenties. At the time, I wasn’t trying to start a business or become a professional artist. I was simply focused on my own glow-up. Like many women, I was figuring out who I was, what made me feel confident, and how I wanted to show up in the world.
Makeup quickly became more than just a routine for me. It turned into a creative outlet and, honestly, a bit of an obsession. I spent hours watching tutorials, experimenting with different looks, and learning how products worked on different skin tones and textures. The more I practiced, the more I realized that makeup wasn’t just about looking good it was about transformation, confidence, and self-expression.
What started as something personal slowly began to impact the people around me. Friends and family started asking me to do their makeup for events, birthdays, and photoshoots. Seeing their reactions when they looked in the mirror was a turning point for me. I realized that makeup had the power to make someone feel seen, confident, and beautiful in their own skin.
That’s when the passion became a purpose. What began as a personal glow-up journey evolved into a career where I now get to help others feel their best while expressing my creativity through beauty.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not. Starting from scratch is never easy, but it was one of the most important parts of my journey because it built my perseverance. When you begin with nothing but an idea and belief in yourself, every step forward feels earned. There were moments when things were slow, when I questioned if I was doing enough or if I was on the right path, but those moments forced me to grow.
The rough parts are truly a part of the journey. They teach you patience, discipline, and resilience in ways that success alone never could. I had to learn how to keep showing up for myself even when things didn’t look perfect on the outside. Each challenge pushed me to become more resourceful, more confident in my abilities, and more determined to build something meaningful.
Looking back, those difficult moments shaped me just as much as the wins did. They helped me discover my strengths, but they also made me aware of my weaknesses and the areas where I needed to grow. That level of self-awareness has been powerful, because it allowed me to evolve not just as a business owner, but as a woman who refuses to give up on her vision. In many ways, the struggles became the foundation that made everything I’m building today even more meaningful.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a professional makeup artist based in the Atlanta area. I specialize in soft glam and red carpet glams. My goal with every client is to create a look that still feels like them, just elevated. I love when someone looks in the mirror and still recognizes themselves, but with a new level of confidence.
What I’m most proud of is building my brand from the ground up and seeing how my work impacts people. Makeup is more than beauty to me it’s an experience.
What sets me apart is the energy and intention I bring into my work. I don’t just want someone to leave with good makeup. I want them to leave feeling confident, seen, and empowered. I also pour a lot into education and community by teaching makeup classes and helping aspiring artists learn the skills and confidence they need to grow in the beauty industry. For me, it’s about creating beauty, but also creating opportunities for others to thrive.
What does success mean to you?
For me, success is about growth, impact, and freedom. It’s knowing that I took something I was passionate about and turned it into something that not only supports me, but also inspires other people. When I see my clients look in the mirror and feel confident, or when aspiring artists tell me that my journey motivated them to start their own, that’s success to me.
At the end of the day, success isn’t just about money or recognition. It’s about living in your purpose, having the freedom to do what you love, and using your gifts to make a real impact in other people’s lives.
