Today we’d like to introduce you to Tristin Middleton.
Tristin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Thank you for taking the time to interview me. I greatly appreciate the recognition.
My cooking journey started with my grandmother. Being in the kitchen with her allowed me to have this passion and love for food and cooking. Every moment spent in the kitchen is time I’m spending reliving my childhood with my grandmother.
I love cooking and decided to attended culinary school to enhance my skills and to gain more knowledge and techniques.
From culinary school, to different restaurant jobs, manufacturing jobs to stepping out on faith and building my business and brand.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road but I’m grateful for every lesson learned and every mistske I’ve made. Some of the struggles for me along way were: Balancing business and personal life, having, keeping and maintaining Faith, making decisions and sacrifices.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Private Chef and Caterer. I specialize in Neo-Fusion Soul Food. I’m most proud of myself, for stepping out on Faith to live out my dream. What sets me apart from others, is the fact that I’m me, I am the Vibe. I’m unbothered, full of life and joy, I do everything with love and from the soul.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
You have to find your tribe, find your people. Find someone who keeps you motivated, someone who will give tough love, constructive criticism. Find someone who truly wants you to WIN.
