Hidden Gems: Meet Loria Redd of Caring Hearts of Georgia Health Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Loria Redd.

Hi Loria , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey into entrepreneurship really began long before I started my business. I began my career in healthcare working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), providing hands-on care to seniors and individuals who needed daily support. That experience shaped me in a profound way. Being on the front lines of care allowed me to see not only the physical needs people had, but also the emotional and personal side of caregiving. I witnessed how important it is for individuals to feel respected, safe, and cared for.

Over time, I also began to notice the gaps families often faced when trying to find reliable, compassionate care for their loved ones. Many families were overwhelmed trying to navigate the healthcare system, and caregivers themselves often didn’t feel fully supported or valued. Those experiences planted the seed for what would later become my entrepreneurial journey.

With a deep passion for helping others and a desire to create something better, I eventually founded Caring Hearts of Georgia Health Services. My vision was to build an organization rooted in compassion, professionalism, and strong standards of care—one that truly supports both the clients we serve and the caregivers who provide that care every day.

Like many entrepreneurs, the journey came with its challenges. Starting and growing a healthcare company requires navigating regulations, building the right team, and creating systems that ensure both quality service and sustainability. But through perseverance, faith, and a commitment to our mission, we were able to grow from an idea into a trusted home care provider serving families throughout Georgia.

Today, I’m proud that our organization continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities who want to remain independent in their homes. My journey from CNA to founder keeps me grounded because I never forget the importance of the work being done at every level. At the end of the day, it’s about people—helping families feel supported and making sure every person we serve is treated with dignity and compassion.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like most entrepreneurial journeys, it definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Starting and growing a healthcare business comes with a unique set of challenges, especially because the work we do directly impacts people’s lives. Early on, one of the biggest challenges was learning how to balance my passion for caregiving with the realities of running and scaling a business. As someone who started as a CNA, my heart was always focused on the care itself, but building a sustainable organization also requires learning operations, compliance, staffing, and the regulatory side of healthcare.

The healthcare industry—particularly home care—is highly regulated, so navigating licensing requirements, Medicaid programs, and compliance standards in Georgia required a lot of learning and persistence. There were moments where the process felt overwhelming, but those challenges ultimately strengthened the foundation of the company.

Another challenge has been building and maintaining a strong team. Caregiving is incredibly meaningful work, but it can also be demanding. Finding caregivers who are not only qualified but truly compassionate and committed to serving others is essential. At the same time, it’s important to create a culture where caregivers feel valued, supported, and appreciated.

Like many entrepreneurs, there were also moments of uncertainty and long hours behind the scenes—building systems, solving problems, and making decisions that would shape the future of the organization. But every challenge reinforced why the work matters. Seeing the difference our services make in the lives of families and individuals who rely on us has always made the journey worthwhile.

Looking back, those struggles weren’t just obstacles—they were learning experiences that helped shape the mission, resilience, and growth of our organization.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Caring Hearts of Georgia Health Services is a home care organization dedicated to helping seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities maintain their independence while receiving compassionate, high-quality care in the comfort of their own homes. Our services are designed to support individuals who need assistance with daily living activities, companionship, and personal care while also providing families with peace of mind knowing their loved ones are in capable and caring hands.

What makes our organization unique is that it was built from the perspective of someone who has worked directly in caregiving. Because I began my career as a CNA, I understand firsthand both the needs of clients and the challenges caregivers face. That experience shaped the way we operate. We place a strong emphasis on hiring compassionate caregivers, maintaining high standards of training and professionalism, and creating a supportive environment where both clients and staff feel respected and valued.

We specialize in providing dependable, person-centered home care that prioritizes dignity, safety, and trust. Our team works closely with families to ensure care plans are tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Whether someone requires daily support or occasional assistance, our goal is to help them live comfortably and confidently in their own homes.

What truly sets us apart is our commitment to compassion, integrity, and excellence. We focus not only on providing services but on building genuine relationships with the families we serve. We believe that quality care goes beyond tasks—it’s about making people feel seen, supported, and cared for.

Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is the culture we’ve built. Caring Hearts of Georgia is more than just a business; it’s a mission-driven organization rooted in service to the community. We strive to uplift the people we care for while also creating meaningful opportunities for caregivers who are passionate about making a difference.

What I want readers to know most is that our work is about impact. Every day we have the opportunity to improve someone’s quality of life, support families during important moments, and help individuals remain independent in the place they feel most comfortable—their home. That responsibility is something we take very seriously, and it’s what continues to inspire our growth and commitment to excellence.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that mentorship and networking often start with being intentional about building genuine relationships. Early in my journey, I realized that you don’t always find mentors through formal programs. Sometimes they are people you meet through work, community involvement, industry events, or even individuals whose work you admire and decide to reach out to.

For me, what worked best was being open to learning and not being afraid to ask questions. When you approach people with sincerity and a willingness to grow, many experienced professionals are actually very willing to share their knowledge. I also believe it’s important to surround yourself with people who challenge you to think bigger and push you to improve.

Networking has also been valuable because it allows you to connect with others who understand your industry and the challenges that come with it. In healthcare and entrepreneurship, relationships matter. Attending community events, joining professional groups, and staying connected with people in the field has helped me learn from others’ experiences and stay informed about changes in the industry.

Another important piece of advice is to remember that networking should never be just about what you can gain. It should be about mutual support. When you focus on building authentic connections and supporting others as well, those relationships tend to grow into meaningful professional networks.

Most importantly, stay curious and keep learning. Mentorship isn’t always just one person—it can come from many people along the way who contribute wisdom, guidance, and encouragement at different stages of your journey.
