Meet Pamela Ganny of Universal Home Care And Services; 7Truths Foundation and INAR Transportation

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pamela Ganny.

Pamela, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve always had a helping spirit and wanted to do something where I could make a difference in the lives of those in my community. I believe that everything happens for a reason and sometimes you must submit your will to the will of God/Universe so that you can find and fulfill your purpose.

If someone would’ve told me I’d be where I am now 10 years ago, I wouldn’t have believed them. I graduated from KSU with a BA in Human Services in 2007 and worked in therapeutic foster care briefly. I quickly realized that wasn’t my niche. For three years I worked random odd jobs (bartender, waitress and restaurant manager).

In 2010 I began helping my father with his Medical Equipment company. A friend/colleague of my father suggested I start a home care business. So, that’s exactly what I did! I left my father and started my own company. Eight years later here I am, a woman entrepreneur in the midst of establishing other businesses (NEMT company and a non-profit that will focus on the total wellbeing of the active senior adult).

God is good! I was once told virtue = happiness. Meaning when you’re focusing on doing what’s right you’ll find happiness. And that’s where I am…

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Absolutely not, (lol) but the struggles are all part of what makes the journey that much greater and worthwhile. Anything worth having is difficult to obtain otherwise everyone would be millionaires and successful. However, it’s the struggle that builds character and makes the result/success so sweet.

Obstacles are inevitable, it’s how you bounce back and move forward that makes you a winner. Have I wanted to throw in the towel? Sure, many days, but then I remember why I’m doing what I’m doing… it’s for the greater good. As long as able to help one person.. I’ve fulfilled my purpose!

Universal Home Care And Services; 7Truths Foundation and INAR Transportation – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Universal Home Care is a private home care business that I started in 2010. We provide in-home care to the elderly and disabled in and around the Metro Atlanta area. Honestly, when I started in 2010, I had no clue as to what I was getting myself into.

However, over the years I’ve learned so much about the senior community that it sparked my non-profit 7Truths Foundation which focuses on the total wellbeing of the active senior adult. 7Truths provides programs, workshops and events that focus on health and wellness, socialization and baby boomer planning. My goal is to help seniors live their best lives as they age.

Through the non-profit, I truly believe that my reach/impact will far exceed my expectations. I’m also starting a non-emergency transportation company that my current home care clients will have access to as well as other active senior adults in and around the Metro Atlanta area.

What sets my companies apart is my level of integrity, drive and passion for transforming the lives of others through compassion and loyalty with the goal of creating a positive change in my community! My 7Truths!

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I would say my success has been me creating an avenue to be used as a resource to those in need! Lord willing, I will continue to create new ventures, services and projects that will fulfill a need!
