So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started Lueur Organics after graduating from Savannah State University. I was sick and tired and tired of being sick and tired of wack skincare that never worked. The products that the dermatologists gave me were just as bad as the products in Walmart or Target. After countless weeks of research and already having knowledge on natural oils and products, I began making products. The Glow Radiance Serum was my first product, and its still my favorite till this day.
After a few months of selling many 2 Oz bottles of Glow Radiance Serum and seeing how they healed the skin of many young men and women, I began to make a few other products. I watched the products that I create heal the skin of so many people. I hear a few testimonials every once in a while and when people tell me that my products make them feel more confident about their ski, I know I’ve done something right.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road has been relatively smooth. I won’t say it’s a piece of cake because its not, ever. UPS and USPS loose your packages, a product sells that isn’t really in stock, you hate the way your Instagram looks. There’s so many things that can go wrong, but the only way to last as an entrepreneur is to continue to find a way to smile. I wake up everyday and thank God for this business that he’s blessed me with. I thank God for providing me with the gift to create products that are healing and inspiring to others.
Patience is a virtue. You have to learn to accept things for what they are and continue to push forward.

I create all natural skincare products for people of all colors and genders. All of my products are hand made here in Atlanta but only available on my website!
As a brand, I am most proud of how organically my business has grown and the connections that I have made along the way. As of right now, my business is a one woman show (shoutout to all my friends, mom, and boyfriend who help me drop off orders and prepare orders). I am proud of how much I’ve taught myself in the past year, I’ve somehow become an accountant, web designer, and social media marketer all in the past year (luckily I went to school for business).
Lueur Organics is not just a product line, it is a lifestyle. I pride myself on being able to provide people with more than just a facial cleanser here and a body scrub there. My customers are able to get to know me when they send a DM, email, or leave a comment. My customers become friends and family, and I genuinely care about them all.
Lueur is French for glow, not only do I want your skin to glow, but also your soul and spirit to glow!
What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
As cliché as it may sound, DO NOT GIVE UP. The road is tough and you may not have everything together your first try, but you’ll earn from all of your mistakes. Make sure you surround yourself with supportive friends and family because you’ll need them to vent too. If you can find a few business friends, get you some and keep them close. It’s great to have a few people who understand what you’re going through because they’ve experienced it as well.
