Noureen and Minaz, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Two girls, (Noureen and Minaz) one passion, ONE DREAM, ONE GOAL!!! So why not come together & build a legacy. This is how we became friends and decided to start a company called “WAX, THREAD & SCISSORS.”
2014 this dream was penciled in & with help of our husbands, tireless amount of work, lots & lots of sleepless nights, Chick-fil-A every day (ha-ha) & much more back-end work & most importantly having faith in God we knew this dream would come true. Finally, in September 2015 this dream was executed in Marietta by opening our first location which we call as our first baby (WAX THREAD AND SCISSORS).
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
“Nothing’s worth having come easy” YES!!! there were many bumps along the way but, we knew what we wanted & we could clearly see our destination. Because of being it one dream we both were equally determined to achieve the goal at any cost & we both would push/motivate each other on a daily basis.
This is the reason we are where we are today. We will continue to work harder and harder to build the legacy as I said it in the beginning. Minaz & I would always say one thing whenever we felt like giving up… “quitters never win & winners never quit” and we are definitely not quitters!!!

WAX THREAD AND SCISSORS is a full-service salon for all skin care needs & hair. We specialize in THREADING (an ancient technique to remove unwanted hair & to shape/groom your eyebrows). We are very well known for providing the BEST customer service in town as customer satisfaction is the key to success for us.
We do not believe in standing apart from anyone else as everyone is great at what they do! however, we like to create our own path towards doing what’s best for our clients.
Having said that we play a keen role in making sure every client at wax thread and scissors is feeling confident & is 100% satisfied with their service every time they walk out of our salon.
Who else deserves credit – have you had mentors, supporters, cheerleaders, advocates, clients, or teammates that have played a big role in your success or the success of the business? If so – who are they and what role did they plan / how did they help.
A huge shout out to our local clients! Our beautiful team #dreamteam and last but never the least our husbands who never ask for credits but always got our back at any given situation and at any given time! This dream would have never been completed without the support of our friends & family who stood by us like a rock.
