Today we’d like to introduce you to Matt Cosby.
Matt, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I knew I always wanted to do something with art, in whatever capacity life would let me. Even from a young age I was constantly doodling and sketching. After high school, I wasn’t sure the route I wanted to take so I ended up going to a local community college but after a couple of years, I knew the route I wanted to take and transferred to SCAD where I studied animation. After graduating I had to find a day job but luckily landed a consistent freelance animation job animating music videos for a children’s musician based out of Nashville.
Has it been a smooth road?
I gotta be honest, it hasn’t been a smooth road. Lulls in work and a few rejections have made me appreciate where I am now. Granted it’s not where I want to stay but I am optimistic about continuing to grow as an artist.
