Art & Life with Aubri Ebony

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aubri Ebony.

Aubri, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
Hey hey! I’m Aubri. Small brown girl from Chicago. I recently moved to Atlanta from Orlando, Florida after earning my Masters in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling. One of my ultimate goals is to run groups for new and aspiring models and answer all their questions on the industry while providing some mental health tips that can help with anxiety, depression, self-image and so much more. I also aspire to be an actress and model in the states landing a lead on a feature film and additional campaign services in the US. I currently have a national campaign ad out and I am one of Sports Illustrator’s top 35 of their very first swim search. Meeting the SI team was amazing. I hope to empower women and men of all ethnicities to accept themselves for who they are and embrace their differences.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I am a naturalist. I believe that there are so much pressure on social media to be different and my art, my modeling is for people who want to just be themselves. No over editing, no photo shopping my body, just self-acceptance and natural features is what I promote.

What responsibility, if any, do you think artists have to use their art to help alleviate problems faced by others? Has your art been affected by issues you’ve concerned about?
Actually internationally, I believe darker skin is more accepted. I think social media has helped open the eyes in the variety of beauty that exists in this world. I think with natural hair and dark skin becoming more “popular” I think the change is trending but still moving at a slow pace in terms of being inclusive in the modeling industry.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
