Meet Josee Adamson of Shattered Glass

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josee Adamson.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Josee. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Shattered Glass started in 2009 when my father Richard Adamson was let go from a company called Glassworks.

He started building his customers from there, customers loved his customer service and quality of work so much they were no longer doing business with the previous company when they learned he was no longer with them.

A few years after his company started up Glassworks went bankrupt, Richard got a phone call about this and was offered the building they were in.

We kept the building phone numbers and owner of the previous company to work at our company to help quote ongoing jobs and help in our office. Starting out the main line of work was Frameless shower enclosures residential and commercial windows, but in 2014 Richard got a phone call from a Production companies construction coordinator. Since then we have been leading the Atlanta area in all glass and glazing needs in the production industry. We still do tons of shower enclosures for our general contractors and other customers as well as all commercial work. We have stopped doing many residential windows though.

We stay so busy with everything else we needed to start limiting the work we did. Our shop is in Marietta Georgia where we all do walk in trade such as mirrors shelves tabletops as well as many cabinet companies that have accounts with us that we install clear glass as well as textured and patterned glass. We always strive to go above and beyond to help anyone with any needs of glass.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
When Richard first started he only had one employee along with himself. It was a long build from there I remember passing out a business card with my mom and brother when I was younger. His advertisement other than business cards has always been word of mouth. Shattered Glass blossomed based on word of mouth.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Shattered Glass story. Tell us more about the business.
We specialize in shower enclosures from frameless to framed to sliders and more.

Commercial and movie set industry glazing and glass are one of our largest priorities that keeps the business running from new buildings to fully remodeled exterior or interior offices and restaurants. We do windows door and heavy glass interior partitions as well.

Shattered Glass use to primarily run out of a small shop we had no office until it was moved to Marietta after his former employer went bankrupt now that we have a building on the main rd we have a walk-in office for customers and a showroom. Customers can come in to place an order for almost anything, from mirrors to shelves china cabinet glass and more.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Shattered Glass, as well as my parents Richard and Angie Adamson, have been blessed after the hard work and dedication they have put into their company for so many years.

Each year the company grows bigger and better which makes such a huge impact on their lives with everything they have acquired over the years with the accomplishments.

Richard and Angie were both addicts in there 20’s struggling to make it. They went through counseling and lots of court hearings when they finally both got clean and got their lives back together both were on probation for 10 years. They feel so blessed each and every day for what has been placed in their lives.
