Today we’d like to introduce you to Conrad Dailey.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Conrad. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Personally, I knew I was different and definitely wasn’t a scholar, school was never my thing so college wasn’t going to be my road to success. Deep down I’ve always had this entrepreneurial spirit; I was always selling or trading clothes, candy, March Madness brackets, amongst other things I saw value in.
After graduating from high school, I knew it was time for me to get serious about life and what I was passionate about. I was reaching out to my family and comparing myself to my peers when God was trying to show me the signs all along, I was asking for help but not sitting still enough to listen and hear the answers he was providing me. With that being said, one evening while sitting on my back porch I had an out of body moment, literally.
I woke up in a hospital bed after having a seizure and was so grateful to be alive. While in the hospital, I had no other choice but to listen to what God was telling me. I kept telling myself, “you’re so blessed”. From the combination of knowing I’m blessed and remaining grateful for everything I came up with B.A.G. “Blessed and Grateful”. Word of mouth and social media have gotten B.A.G. where it is now, but my story is just beginning.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
To make a dream/vision come true it always takes some challenges, for one it’s something you see in your head and no one else can quite comprehend what you see the way you see it. The hardest part for me has been learning it’s okay to be different.
I’m trying to start a new “wave” and by doing so I am having to take a leap of faith and be by myself for a little before people join me. Some people have a hard time accepting things that are different from the way they are used to doing things. I was looked at as the “weird” one because I was different, but in reality what’s “weird”? Who is really weird?
I’ve learned that the people who are “weird” stand out the most are the ones who make the biggest differences.
Please tell us about B.A.G.
“B.A.G” at the moment is a simple dope clothing line/brand. My goal is to carry more merchandise and expand the clothing line. I strongly believe that B.A.G has the potential to have the same type of popularity as NIKE, ADIDAS, or any other worldwide known brand.
I am most proud of the fact that I did not let any haters dim my dream and I kept my dream alive, my dedication to B.A.G and the quality of my products is another thing I’m proud of.
Personally, I believe, what sets “B.A.G” apart is the message “Blessed And Grateful” is so deep! Everyone and anyone can relate to B.A.G old or young, race or religious background, we are all B.A.G “Blessed And Grateful” for someone or something.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
How far back of a restart? If I were to restart my whole life over, I would have been much more serious and focused in school and earlier on in my life. I would have definitely not cared about haters so much and not allow peoples ignorance and judgment knock me off track or saved much more money.
I’m a big believer of gods timing and that he has a plan for me, so honestly I would not want a restart at all and have no regrets because it took me time to realize that being called “different” is how you know you stand out.
