Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Luke.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Stone Summit was imagined and built to grow a community. My business partner, Daron Pair, and I had seen again and again the positive impact climbing can have on individuals, groups, and the community in general. We wanted to build a facility, an experience, a culture that would bring people together as a community to share something for which we have so much passion.
It was clear to us that Atlanta had the potential to be a home to a vibrant and growing climbing community of all ages. Having traveled to climbing gyms all over the country to attend climbing competitions, we knew the sport needed a venue in the US for national-level world-class climbing competitions if the sport was really going to grow.
With those goals in mind, we worked for two years in the planning, design, and construction of Stone Summit Atlanta. In June of 2010, we opened our doors and the adventure really began.
We soon realized that our venue was not just for kids. We had created a one of a kind playground for adults to socialize and get fit at the same time.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road has always been smooth. The staff is on point, the customers are fantastic, and the community gives me a purpose I’m proud of. Any struggles that have occurred, I put on myself to continue providing a better product.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Stone Summit Climbing – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Stone Summit is an indoor rock climbing gym. Have you ever rolled out of bed and had your enthusiasm suck out of you while thinking about the monotonous workout your about to experience at the gym? That doesn’t happen with rock climbing. You a constantly figuring out puzzles, pushing your body, and socializing with friends and a community. We even make a great date night. There is no one in the Atlanta or Kennesaw area that can provide you with the same product as us.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
There are many places I like to visit but would not like to live. Atlanta is different. I love living here. The people are friendly and inviting. And every day there is a new venue to go check out with your friends.
