Meet Trailblazer Chloe Cooper

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Cooper.

Chloe, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Growing up, I always dreamed about being a model and actress. Originally from a small town in south Alabama, there is not much opportunity to do that, so I focused on finding ways to pursue my dream.

I was scouted by a photographer and referred to an agency in Atlanta when I was 16. We drove up and met with the agency director and went from there. Being in high school still and living in a completely different state trying to work back and forth was hard. I got to meet/work with some amazing people while signed with them but went into freelance modeling/acting for almost a year, all which my mother managed for me.

After deciding I wanted to move to Atlanta when I graduated, we began looking for representation again and I am currently signed to a non-exclusive contract with Miles Agency, that means I can work outside of being booked only through the agency.

November will be one year since I have lived in Atlanta on my own. I absolutely love the city, the opportunity, and the people I get to meet and work with. I am only 19 and I feel like I have so much more to look forward to doing. Every day is new, a new opportunity, a new person I may meet, I never know what is going to happen and I absolutely love that!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No way!! The things you see on T.V. and social media do not even begin to grasp how hard models and actresses/actors work. You first have to prove yourself to be easy to work with and improvise in any situation, you cannot go into this thinking you will be at the top immediately. I have long days, sometimes up to 14 hours and there are short days, there are days where I am in four-five inch heels for up to 10 hours. Every day is a challenge, this career is a lifestyle. You have to take complete care of yourself, your mind and your body.

SKIN! So important to take care of your skin. Stay headstrong, you won’t always get booked for every casting, everyone is special in their own way, you may have not been the “look” the client was going for. BE NICE! No one wants to work with anyone who thinks they are privileged, build relationships and be accountable for yourself!

We’d love to hear more about you as a model/actress.
I love modeling, but I also love the acting side of what I do. As a model, I do a lot of beauty and bridal work. Acting is also part of modeling as you have to “play the part” of what the client wants.

I feel like my personality sets me apart from others. I focus on being professional, but I have a very outgoing personality, I love to have fun, joke, meet new people.

Which women have inspired you in your life?
First and foremost, my mother. She is the strongest most selfless person I know. She has helped me and guided me through every aspect of my journey in modeling and my entire life. We talk every day, all day, she is my go-to for everything.
