Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcus Collins.
Marcus, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started off with a real passion for films at an early age I think it came from my aunt she would watch everything with us as kids. I always was curious about the process of filmmaking like the writing of a script to principle filming. In college, I took several class to get the experience and so knowledge. I also worked on several projects as production assistant for a for years which was great.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been at times. When you’re first starting out it may be you and a small team doing everything such maybe you can’t pay a cameraman, so you become the cameraman. Every aspect of the film project we did ourselves and learn our craft.
Loud Films – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Loud Films was developed in 2014 based off an idea and the love of filmmaking. I’m a film producer and that comes with many hats from finding the right personnel to work on our projects to finding locations. I’m most proud of the next film on our slate “TODD ” it was a labor of love and everything was done by our team no outside help. I think with our company it’s about real stories and real experiences mix with a little bit of imagination.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
That moment came when we finally wrapped on TODD and just getting all the positive feedback.
