Today we’d like to introduce you to Goldi Gold.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I came from New Jersey to Atlanta in 94 to study at the Art Institute Of Atlanta for graphic design/illustration. A year a two, I was kicked out of art school. Took a depress break for a year. Then really started pushing my art and name online daily. 24-7 once I learned the basic of posting artwork on early social Media.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Far from smooth. Just learning everything as it came to me on a daily basis. A lot of bumping into things in the dark all while trying to figuring my craft at the same time. Relearning about my true self which changes like the weather while consuming everything in sight just to add to the process. But at the end of the day. Learning my worth and being able to say ‘NO’ from time to time. made things a bit easier when dealing with art and life in general
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Invest In Gold – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I’m a visual illustrator, so I push. Artwork, t-shirts, prints. Cds. Whatever fits the calling of the work or my client. I’ve been doing t-shirts for years as jungle 45 with my old business partner kermin Middleton but I really started pushing my own actual “invest in gold” artwork on t-shirts this year, It was a demand that was always high but it couldn’t be done the way I wanted to without breaking my bank. But it’s been great to see the response to the garments since the release.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Everyday I’m trying to figuring ways to make things better. Even while things are going pretty good or pretty bad. Hahaha. But things can always be better. I’m not a perfectionist but if it’s a way to make things run smoother. I’ll gladly accept that without breaking the true nature of the process. But I’m starting to get the itch to do a solo art show again and this time take it out of state. But the concept and everything has to be on point before anything. but one of the many ideas I want to manifest in the future.
