Check Out Ace the Rapper’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ace the Rapper.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up, my family moved around a few times until we settled in McDonough. Since a young age, music played a significant role in my life and I leaned on it to cope with the things I was going through. Initially, I wrote music as a form of self-therapy, to give myself a way to clear my mind. One of my closest friends convinced me to start recording what I was writing, and I quickly realized how my music could impact others as well. That pushed me to continue to create and make relatable music for those who experienced similar things. To let people know that they aren’t alone and give them a voice through my art like music did for me.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have been plenty of ups and downs along the way and I have learned to expect both. My struggles have ranged from internal battles to botched services. One of my biggest obstacles was deciding between finishing school and making music. I went through a very dark period that made me realize the importance of music in my own life, reigniting my passion to create. Allowing myself to finish school while continuing to make music was one of the best decisions I’ve made. It put me in places and introduced me to people that have positively impacted my life and journey so far.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a Musical Artist that focuses on creating within the Hip Hop genre. I work to cultivate a unique, memorable, and relatable listening experience by using my lifestyle and personal experiences as a guide. My ultimate goal as an artist is to make the listener feel as I do in that moment. To take them on a journey through my mind by bringing raw lyricism and unforgettable melodies together. I’m proud of the platform I built for myself that allows me to speak my truth and connect to the world through my art.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck is a slippery slope that I don’t necessarily believe in. I believe everything you do has an outcome, positive or negative like cause and effect. You’re as lucky as the amount of work you put in. For instance, I could blow up tomorrow and someone who has never heard of me could consider it luck, not knowing what I did to get here. That being said I have experienced moments of “good luck” like being in the right place at the right time, but at the end of the day it boils down to what you do to capture your moment.
