Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Clark.
Hi Ashley, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I would say I started out with my initial dream of wanting to be an actress. I spent time working as an extra and stand-in on film sets, which gave me a first look into the creative world and what it takes to bring stories to life. That experience made me realize how much I enjoyed expressing myself and being part of something creative.
From there, I started creating makeup tutorials and experimenting with YouTube, just sharing what I loved. Eventually, that turned into recording random vlogs of myself, capturing my days, travels, and little lifestyle moments. Over time, that evolved into what people now know as PrettyCash, a lifestyle and travel brand that blends authenticity, creativity, and inspiration.
Now, I partner with global brands, create travel content around the world, and continue building my brand under PrettyCash Holdings LLC. Through it all, the foundation has stayed the same. I’m passionate about creativity, inspiring women to embrace every version of themselves, and showing that your journey doesn’t have to be traditional to be successful.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For one, no. This journey has come with me constantly questioning who I am and the value I bring. There have been moments where I’ve doubted myself, compared my progress to others, and wondered if I was really making an impact. As a creator, it’s easy to get caught up in numbers or trends, but I’ve had to remind myself that my authenticity is my power.
There were also times when I felt overlooked or underestimated, especially in the early stages of building my brand. Balancing creativity, consistency, and self-belief hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has pushed me to grow and trust my voice more.
Looking back, I’m grateful for those hard moments because they forced me to build confidence from within and stay grounded in my purpose, even when things didn’t go as planned.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a lifestyle and travel content creator, but at my core, I’m a creative entrepreneur who loves inspiring women to live fully and show up as themselves. I specialize in creating authentic, visually driven content that blends beauty, travel, and everyday life in a relatable way. Through my brand PrettyCash, I’ve built a space that celebrates confidence, creativity, and growth.
Over time, I’ve realized that nothing is ever perfect, and that’s okay. My approach to content has become more about showing up as I am and letting people connect with the real moments, not just the highlight reel. I’ve learned that my style of content has its own audience, one that appreciates someone like me simply showing up and sharing.
I’m proud of how I’ve been able to turn that authenticity into something that inspires others and creates opportunities, from working with brands like True Religion and Yitty to building my own ventures under PrettyCash Holdings. What sets me apart is my ability to keep things real while still delivering something aspirational. It’s about creating content that feels relatable but still motivates people to go after more.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I think every part of my journey has involved taking risks, even when I didn’t realize it at the time. Stepping into content creation, putting myself out there, and building a brand from scratch all came with uncertainty. There’s no clear path in this space, so every decision can feel like a leap of faith.
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was betting on myself. There were moments where I didn’t have it all figured out, but I chose to keep showing up, invest in my ideas, and create opportunities instead of waiting for them. I’ve also taken financial risks by investing in equipment, resources, and travel opportunities with faith that it will all eventually pay off.
To me, risk is a part of growth. You can’t expect new results by staying in the same place. I’ve learned that even when things don’t go as planned, the experience always leads to something better or teaches you what you need for the next step.
