Check Out Justin Fabus’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Fabus.

Hi Justin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in a town in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania called Dormont.

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been either singing or listening to music. I knew right away I wanted to be a musician.

In 2018, I met my fiancée who was in the process of moving to Atlanta for her job at Court TV. Since then I’ve been living in Pittsburgh and Atlanta.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There’s been nothing smooth about it. Trying to make it as a full-time musician is extremely difficult, but it’s all part of the journey. We live in a world where more people are rooting against you than for you.

Music and musicians today are so accessible thanks to social media. It’s a double-edged sword because you really have to stand out and have something different from everyone else. The benefit of it though is anyone can find your music in seconds.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a Country artist.

I’m currently doing shows with Trace Adkins as one of his openers on his The Way I Wanna Go Tour.

My last EP, “The Aftermath” debuted at #2 on the iTunes Country Album Chart.

I have a brand new single called “Dead In The Water” that is dropping on July 8th that I co-wrote with Eren Cannata, who also produced the track. Eren had worked with artists such as Demi Lovato, John Legend and Billy Porter.

I’m very proud to have shared the stage with many artists like Trace Adkins and New Kids On The Block. As well as writing songs with Richard Marx, Joe Henry and Eren Cannata. I’m also proud to have the opportunity to write songs that can be the soundtrack to people’s lives.

I think what sets me apart from other artists is my work ethic. I may not be the best singer but no one is going to outwork me.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
When I was younger I use to define success by being the best. Having that number 1 spot. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned that everyone’s definition of success is different. For me now, it’s being happy with who you are as a person and are the things you are accomplishing impacting yourself and others in a positive and inspiring sense.
