Today we’d like to introduce you to Noreen Moise.
Noreen, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m Noreen M. Geffrard — a lifelong leader, social worker, and woman passionate about purpose, identity, and growth. I grew up in Canada and moved around often, which came with its own emotional and mental challenges. My parents did their best, and those experiences shaped me into someone who values understanding, compassion, and resilience.
From a young age, I was drawn to people’s stories — what drives them, what breaks them, and what helps them heal. That curiosity led me to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and later a Master’s in Social Work. For me, both fields are connected: one explores the deeper questions of life, and the other applies that understanding to serving people in practical, meaningful ways.
Over time, I became especially passionate about women — their strength, their creativity, and the quiet ways they carry the world. I also saw how many women struggle to lead or show up fully because they’ve been conditioned to suppress their natural gifts or mimic what leadership is “supposed” to look like.
That realization became the foundation of Leadership in the Feminine, a space I created out of love for women and a desire to see them thrive. It’s about helping women reconnect to who they are — their voice, their intuition, their essence — and lead from that place with confidence and authenticity.
My journey hasn’t been linear. It’s been full of transitions, reflection, and growth. But each season has led me closer to my purpose: helping others discover the power that comes from knowing and embracing who they truly are.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I grew up as a third-culture kid — Haitian and Canadian — and that came with a lot of movement and adjustment. My family moved around often in search of a better life, and as the older sister, I often felt the pressure to hold things together.
When I was 12, I had to learn English while trying to fit in and make new friends, which was incredibly isolating at times. Throughout my teenage years, I battled depression, separation anxiety, and even suicidal thoughts. On top of that, my parents’ divorce during high school brought a lot of emotional and mental distress that I didn’t fully understand how to process at the time.
Those experiences forced me to mature quickly, but they also shaped my empathy and depth. They taught me to be sensitive to others’ pain and to value emotional honesty — qualities that now guide everything I do.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a public speaker and group facilitator who works primarily with women in small, intentional settings. My work through Leadership in the Feminine (LITF) focuses on helping women understand leadership, identity, and influence from a holistic perspective — one that honors both their inner world and outward expression.
I’m most proud of LITF because it challenges the surface-level ideas often attached to femininity. For me, being feminine isn’t just about relationships, marriage, heels, makeup, or dresses — it’s about how a woman shows up in her fullness: her mind, heart, body, and spirit all aligned. It’s about how she leads, nurtures, sets boundaries, and carries herself with wisdom and confidence.
What sets me apart is the way I approach the whole person. I don’t just focus on image or ambition; I look at how women think, feel, heal, and connect. My background in theology and social work helps me bridge emotional depth with practical growth — blending introspection, empathy, and strategy to help women lead authentically.
Whether I’m speaking to a group or sitting in a small circle of women, my goal is the same: to create space for reflection, self-discovery, and the kind of transformation that starts from within.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
As a child, I was very open and extroverted — always talking, curious, and eager to try new things. I loved connecting with people and had a natural excitement for life. But when my family moved and I had to learn English after growing up speaking French, everything shifted. I became more reserved, quiet, and observant — not because that was my nature, but because I was learning how to belong in a new language and environment.
During that time, I lost some of my confidence and became more distant, but it also made me deeply reflective. I turned to writing and poetry as a way to express myself. I was always drawn to the deeper layers of life — the emotional, relational, and spiritual meaning behind things. Even as a young person, I sensed that I carried a certain wisdom and something valuable to share, even if I didn’t yet know how to express it fully.
That mix of early openness and later introspection shaped who I am today — someone who values depth, connection, and authenticity in everything I do.
