Today we’d like to introduce you to Bethani Walton.

Bethani Walton

Bethani, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Art is something I’ve always looked toward. I’ve never imagined myself doing something that isn’t art-related or creative. It definitely comes naturally to me, so it has always felt “right”. My parents placed me in schools and programs that specifically honed in on my artistic abilities. They saw the raw talent and made sure that I pursued it with everything I had.

Today, I would like to think that I am still a baby in the industry. I’ve been an artist my whole life, but the past 7 years have been spent focusing on Graphic Design as a profession. I feel that I still have a long way to go, but I look forward to what God has in store for me, my art, and my career in the coming years.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
To get where I am today was tough, and it’s still tough. I have a very long way to go, which is scary and exciting, but I’m excited to reach my full potential and am very confident in my art and my skills. It was a struggle to reach the point I am at mainly because I didn’t believe in myself in the past, I had to stop listening to my negative thoughts, I had to tune out other people’s opinions of my art and let “Bethani” show up in my work. Over the years, one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to shut up and do it. If you have an idea, do it, if you want to experiment with different mediums, do it, stop overthinking it. Art and creativity have always come naturally to me so I have to let it flow out of me naturally, it can’t be forced.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business.
Just Bethani Studio is my freelance graphic design where I specialize in visual communication (graphics, ads, web design, etc.) and branding (logos, brand packages, etc.)

A lot of people know me for my illustrations, fun colors, and minimalist designs. If I were to pick something that set me apart, I’d have to say my combination of styles, I don’t have one set style of art because I like to embrace a variety of artistic elements.

My proudest moment that revolves around my brand is being able to work with a government agency, it’s the most important project I’ve done to date.

I would love for readers to know that when they are purchasing a service from me, it’s not just a cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all deal; I want all of my clients to feel that their designs are catered to them and their vision, be it web design, custom illustration, branding or more.

What’s next?
I plan to expand my clientele, as a lot of my clients are scattered locations, but I want to work with more local businesses and entrepreneurs in the Atlanta area as well as surrounding areas. I recently rebranded and am working to rebrand my social media pages as well to reflect my new concentrations, branding, and web design. I have a lot of projects under my belt for my leisure, one being publishing my very first app, it started out as a passion project but turned into something that I want to pursue as a business endeavor.
